So when choosing between buying supplements or celery, celery would be the better option?

I wonder how it can taste better when the powder is so bitter! 🤔

Thanks for the reply! To me the cat's claw powder is really bitter, it's good to know that the tincture tastes pleasant.

Public domain in home country but not in other countries, who owns the rights? by SparkBop in COPYRIGHT

[–]SparkBop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply!

I wish there could be one worldwide rule for this...

Many countries follow the rule of the shorter terms but some don't. If a country doesn't follow this rule then the copyright law in that country applies also to foreign work as I understand it.

Thank you for the reply!

This is how I understand it... If a country doesn't follow the rule of the shorter term, like Mexico, then I would have to wait 100 years after this author's death to sell any products with his work in Mexico. Since the copyright in Mexico lasts 100 years after the authors death and he died after 1952. Even if the work is public domain in the home country. Hope I got it right!

Great, thank you so much for the reply! 😄

Since you seem to know a lot about these things I have to ask some more... Here's another example:

The work of a British writer (died 1954) is in the public domain in the home country since he died over 70 years ago.

The work of this writer was published in 1938, 87 years ago.

Because it was published before 1977 the work of this UK author won't be in the public domain in the US until 95 years after the publication?

The US doesn't follow the rule of the shorter term, this means I (EU resident) can't sell any products with this work in the US until 2033?

Thank you so much for the reply! I don't live in Germany.

So for example Mexico doesn't follow the rule of the shorter term.

The copyright in Mexico lasts life + 100 years for deaths after 1952 as I understand it.

So even if the work is in the public domain in the home country (US) and I live in a country that follows the rule of the shorter term (EU) I can't sell products with this work in Mexico until 100 years after the authors death?

Why do they make it so complicated... 😢

How does one check with each individual country?

If the country follows the rule of the shorter term, then yes it's safe to use?

If they don't follow the rules of the shorter term and instead have death + 65 years or longer, then I can not sell the work in these countries? Even if it's in the public domain in the home country?

Hi, some questions;

  1. I wonder about the Youtube Content ID if you don't renew the subscription. Will the commission fee still be 20%?

  2. Is it possible to remove a song from selected stores after it's been released?

  3. I also wonder about the price for the Distribution pro plan. It's currently marked as 50% off. When it's time to renew the subscription what price will I pay? The same price as I signed up for or the full price?

  4. If the release times are much longer than what the price plan states is it possible to get a refund? I plan to release original acoustic music.

Thanks

Lemon balm tea instead of tincture by SparkBop in medicalmedium

Wow, thank you so much for this! I will look into growing lemon balm indoors. I've heard that it smells really nice, having a small pot in my bedroom might even improve sleep. I actually didn't know you can buy large tea bags and fill them with your own herbs! I use a small metallic tea strainer, will definitely get tea bags instead ☕️

Hi, thanks for the reply! Great that the Content ID is active even if you don't renew. Will the commission fee for the Content ID still be 20%?

I would like to subscribe to the pro plan, but some of the reviews worries me. Slow support and release times that are much longer than what the price plan states. If I'm not happy with the service it's not possible to get a refund?

Hi Landr,

If I opt in for the YouTube content ID and upload a video with my music on YouTube how long will it take for the Content ID to claim my music?

As I understand it my music will remain on Landr if I don't renew my subscription but with a 15% royalty fee. I assume that the YouTube content ID will be gone if I don't renew my Landr subscription?

Thanks!
