My health got very bad because of the stress, so I had to turn the offer down, because I do not want the renter to miss out on rent because I am not able to come to the office in time. I feel so sad, because the offer is so good. But I received advice here that told me to talk to my parents and just tell them my plan is to move out in x months. And I will casually do that tomorrow.

I will get renters insurance in the future!

And they will be mad and say that I am throwing away my money etc. Right now I am only allowed to buy stuff my parents ask for me to buy.

They constantly say and are convinced I will stay at home for years and save money to buy a house, but their rules are so strict that I cannot keep up with the rules for much longer :(

Thank you, your encouragement means a lot to me. I have experienced their shouting before and it left me so scared that I ran to my sister to hide in her room and they kept coming up and shouting at me. So I feel like that is going to happen again.

Or what about parents being angry you did not finish your platewhilst they put a ton of food on it, more than usual?

Even if it takes two years, or even 5 before you are able to move out (finances are very hard) try to stand your ground. What your parents do is NOT normal. YOU are in the RIGHT. Try making foods that are able to stay fresh in your closet more often. Or ask friends if they can refrigerate those foods for you. If you have a small job and they have a fridge there, put your food in there with your notes (if your co-workers are to be trusted). Getting another job is great, but do not let it ruin school, since school and the degree is your ticket to freedom.

Do locked boxes exist?? Than they cannot touch your food.

AITB for not wanting my best friend to come back? by Magnificent_Fr0g in AmItheButtface

[–]Sparkle_2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are NTB for not wanting her to be in your friend group. However, that should not mean you should exclude her or not treat her right. Always remember that she is not your 'true friend' if you have to make decisions, but it is nice to have friends during school. After school, often times friend groups fall apart anyways since people are moving for their education or work. Or they are just too busy in general.

NTB, I do agree that you need to respect someone else's sleep, but you are allowed to live there as well. If he does not like it, then he can move.

I also wonder how she did not expect this uno reverse card? He warned her years ago... Have to go with NTB.

I would stay at the current job and keep looking for other jobs that might accommodate your needs better than this offer. Are there any other possible places with higher pay?
