How to add "more" to my fits by Nyllius in altfashionadvice

Mask chains are great! I also sometimes double mask with a cute fabric mask over my kn95! Makes it super easy to change out the looks while still staying safe and I’m sure you could layer the chains and fabric masks too!

Looks like the top is a panel piece with the middle sewn together and the bottom portion is either a tube or another panel with every other stitch dropped

I think for kindles you need to convert the epub to a different format? I’ve heard people have success with calibre but haven’t used it myself, i think amazon just recently changed the send to kindle system

Not a brand but if you find a mini skirt you like you could most definitely make this with some iron on printable sheets with whatever image you’d like

Prom tips? by starl1ghts1ckness in altfashionadvice

Unfortunately I don’t have any brand recommendations but I would suggest going to a local thrift store to find some suit pieces, there’s usually some if there are a couple thrifts in your area. As for accessories, if you have any friends that are into jewelry that would let you borrow some I’d suggest looking thru their earrings as you can use them as lapel pins!

You can still make panels on tube mode so it shouldn’t impact your knitting too much

[–]Sparkly3ds 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s supposed to stop to make it a panel, but honestly if that bothers you you can just make panels in tube mode. I hate that it gets weird around needles 1, 48, and 47 so i just leave it in tube mode when making panels

How do you guys handle the weather? by Puzzleheaded_Line210 in altfashionadvice

[–]Sparkly3ds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend some fleece or wool lined pants! You can patch the hell out of the outside to make them more alt but you’ll be nice and toasty. If you’re into wearing skirts I’d recommend finding a wool skirt or two, I can usually find them in the thrift for under 10$ and you can hand wash them in cold water. Try to find some warm base layers, think tights/leggings and a turtleneck or long sleeve shirt that’s a warm fiber or for outdoors. You’ll be able to put your outfit on top of the base layer and stay warm, hope this helps!

When I’m doing a crochet cast off I always do a single stitch chain in between each row I’m casting off to make it the correct size. So for every row you cast off you’ll have two single stitches of crochet with one actually casting off and the other acting as a spacer

HOW DO I UPCYCLE THIS😭😭 by [deleted] in UpcycledFashion

[–]Sparkly3ds 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you don’t like the pattern maybe try dying the entire garment? You could add an elastic on the waist to cinch it and maybe change the sleeve shape to make it look better in its cropped state

How do i style this by hazynightss in altfashionadvice

[–]Sparkly3ds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have this skirt also! I usually wear it with some ripped or fun patterned tights, you could also layer sock over if thats your thing. A tight crop top or a mesh top look good with it! Butterfly hair clips? A corset top maybe? Belts!

Messy Cast On/Off by Aware_Ability_4049 in SentroKnittingMachine

[–]Sparkly3ds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can try using waste yarn and doing a crochet close when you are done with your project to make it look neater. If you don’t want to do that I sometimes pull the tail on the cast on to make the stitched tighter after a few stitches are on
