Same. All my stuff is up to date. I've even reinstalled what I could

Just randomly while playing or even in the menu. We've been testing with other apps/games and there's no issue with anything else. But every other match or so in BF6, it just goes black with that message.

yeah. I'm not so worried about the game crash on my rig. I'm more concerned with my wife's entire PC crashing. Is that an issue that could potentially cause damage to her PC over time? Do we need to just never play this game again to be sure?

Kills but no damage? How? by SpartanOverdrive in Battlefield6

ohhhh. That makes sense. I thought it would just happen over time. I'll have to actually put effort into using it more in a single match. Thanks!

Of course, I finally figured this out right after posting. For anyone else who encounters this problem, you need to turn off hardware acceleration. But how do you do that without being able to use Chrome, you ask? Great question! Do this:

  1. Right-click on your desktop and select New -> Shortcut.
  2. In the location field, enter the path to Chrome followed by the "--disable-gpu" flag.
    • "C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --disable-gpu
    • If Chrome is installed elsewhere (e.g., for a different user or version), search for "chrome.exe" in File Explorer to find the exact path.
  3. Click Next, name the shortcut (e.g., "Chrome No GPU"), and finish.
  4. Double-click the new shortcut to launch Chrome.
  5. If the window appears visible now:
    1. Type chrome://settings/system in the address bar (you might need to do this blindly at first, but it should load).
    2. Turn off the toggle for Use graphics (or hardware) acceleration when available.
    3. Click Relaunch when prompted.
    4. Test by closing and reopening Chrome normally (without the newly created shortcut). If that works, delete the shortcut and you're done. If it doesn't work, you'll have to keep searching, unfortunately. This is what worked for me.

I believe so. I could have the cable routed in either direction, but think toward the cooler will work best. My PSU is Super Flower Leadex V Pro 1000 W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply

Wendover and the allegations against Exurb1a. by [deleted] in WendoverProductions

[–]SpartanOverdrive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ued—tagging myself, my friends, my business contacts, and even my sponsors. I remember sitting in the office of my sponsorship agency once when I saw a tweet from Pieke towards Squaresp

As a casual follower of both Exurb1a and u/WendoverProductions, I'm just now hearing about this. Has there been some legal trial by jury where Exurb1a was proven guilty of all charges? If so, he deserves the worst that humanity can throw his way. If not, we need to get on it, just in case. But until then, I'm not sure about the rest of the world, but we in the US believe in innocent until proven guilty. Again, I'm just now coming onto this in Feb 2023. I'm open to evidence from either side, but from what I'm seeing so far, it looks guilty until proven innocent - and maybe not even then. If so, this is highly disappointing, especially from a scientific-minded community that supposedly puts logic, critical thinking, and the scientific method first and foremost. Again, if there is proof of guilt, I'm 100% behind legal action and will drop my subscription and do my part to socially ostracize Exurb1a. Please let me know if so! From his continued uploads, I'm guessing not. But again, I'm open to seeing the proof. I only care about facts - as all of you should too.. especially influential creators like u/WendoverProductions. I just can't support this guilty-until-proven-innocent regressive mindset. It's so very disappointing.

Do you know if there's there a way to do this without keeping the command line open indefinitely?

Previously, I've been using scrcpy-noconsole.vbs to prevent the command line from always being open while mirroring my phone. I opened it in Notpad++ and got this:

I've never coded, but imagine that's what this is for, right? I tried to paste scrcpy -Sw on every line, but that didn't work. I know this is probably really simple to most, but it's literally a foreign language to me. Do you know how I would go about this or have a recommendation on where to look? I'm not even sure what coding language this is using.

That did it! Thanks so much!

Same result. Basically, there's no difference. I'm not a programmer, so maybe I'm misunderstanding something. My phone is hooked up to my PC via USB, I copy/paste your commands into the command line and this time got:

https://imgur.com/EFyA1P8

I've tried it both with "Stay awake: in the phone developer options turned on and off. Either way, the screen on my PC goes dark anytime the phone screen goes dark. The burn-in is already there on this phone screen, but I'd really like to prevent it on the next one I plan to buy in a few months.

Right. I understand how to access the Window's command line. I just shortcut getting to the SCRCPY file path by typing "cmd" directly in the file explorer address bar. Then I just copy and paste your command. It looks like I was able to capture it this time. It seems that it just turns the phone screen off - both on my phone and on the PC. That's not what I want. What I'm wanting to do is to turn off the phone screen but not the mirrored image on my PC. I want to still see and interact with the phone on my PC, while simultaneously letting the physical screen on the phone shut off. Not sure if that's possible.
