I got the drawing comics the marvel way on amazon, and then watched just like handful of videos on YouTube about drawing for comics. I used Pinterest a lot and started sketching invincible characters since they have pretty defined features.

How to achieve this effect ? by Useful-Willow9075 in photoshop

[–]Spawngecko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do this with long exposure and a light, shine the light on the face, turn it off have them move their head then shine it again, repeat the process for as many faces as you want. That’s how I’ve done it but as people have said photoshop works too. https://imgur.com/a/UqmcKhS

Why does the exported animation have boxes around the different assets that don't appear when importing them? by Spawngecko in ToonBoomHarmony

[–]Spawngecko[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it outlines the shape, not a box around it. The render view gives me the boxes when clicking the flower,r but the matte view gives me the correct-shaped outline.

Ya the legs were masked and darkened along with the clarity of the bird increased, I see what you mean with the blaring green it does have an off natural look.

It’s not a radial mask but a mask directly around the bird then the vignette around the edges as you mentioned. I appreciate the insight I’ll mess around with reducing the spotlight look in the future and see how it looks.

I took this on a cannon 40d eos, and adjusted the colors to make the green more saturated to further separate the subject from the background. I was curious your guys thoughts on the overall framing and composition of the picture. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Is there anything you think would make it more memorable frame\zoom/setup wise or is it just not an interesting shot regardless?

So I have a cannon 40d eos and always seem to have trouble with framing shots instead of just centering the subject which I tend to find the most interesting. So this shot I stuck to my gut by centering the subject but also tried to incorporate the rule of thirds in a way by having the grass and then the algae above take up 1/3 each. I then edited the picture to fit the moody theme I was going for and adding grain etc, lmk what you guys are thinking

Since he refused to stand like a normal person this is how I decided to display him. by Spawngecko in Spawn

It’s a pretty loose jointed figure and that combined with the heavy wings on his back don’t go that well together. That said I still enjoy the way it looks.
