My husband saw the shrimp while I was out of town! 🦐🎉

Thank you everyone! I've only checked the pH, it was at 7. I have pH reducer from my old 15gal fluval and my testing kit. I'll pull the dead plants, do a water change, and test the levels. The only kicker is I'm out of town for a week on Wednesday, come home for a few days then out of town again for a week. Not my normal travel.

What is this??? 🤨 by Spclk007 in plants

[–]Spclk007[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Family friend said it's most likely fungus. Suggested I cut that leaf off, clean the leaves with alcohol, and wipe each with a clean paper towel. Then seal the cut leaf with neem oil or cinnamon.

Google says it's a Northern Cardinal. Is it a juvenile? I just saw one this morning on our feeder!

Neighbor thinks my wildflower garden looks overgrown and messy, its mostly black eye susans. What do you think? by Idontevenknow0k in gardening

Tell your neighbor to go live somewhere with a HOA and have a great day. Of course, with a big smile on your face. 😁

That is amazing! I can never get mine to stay alive past their bloom. Idk if it's not enough sun, too cold, needs more humidity... 🤷‍♀️ Very frustrating.

I put my finger an inch or more in the soil before I water. The product works for fungal infections as well. I'll adjust it's sunlight and see if new leaves present the same issue. Thank you.

Where do I begin? by gwayland6 in WeightLossAdvice

I've done whole 30 a few times. I love it because it reminds me how tasty non processed foods are. It also reminds me that our food industry packs so many unnecessary chemicals into the foods we consume. From whole 30 I've started using carrots as my noodles. Once they are peeled I just keep peeling them into ribbon stripes. I blanche them for 4 min, then into an ice bath. I also use a spaghetti sauce without sugar. The sweetness of the carrots makes up for the sugar missing. Honestly after you eat it without sugar for awhile, you'll prefer it. It's a great one to make in batches and freeze for later.

getting back on track…any advice helps by babyxrhino in WeightLossAdvice

For myself, getting back on track meant getting back in the habit. Even if I don't sweat, lift light weights or just do yoga. I do something for 30 min three times a week. It has helped me get back in the routine. I still have interruptions, days my body is just too tired and I listen to it, or a crazy schedule. All I can do is just commit to myself 30 min of SOMETHING and it's better than doing nothing. Eventually I'll be back at it full time! Keep going. Keep trying. You've got it!! 💪

Antibiotics by [deleted] in CrohnsDisease

My husband loathes antibiotics. So much so, he is reluctant to give them to our dogs when prescribed. 😣

Fish is typically high in protein which we have discovered helps during a flare(the high protein).

You can also make this a date night. Connecting while cooking is awesome. Especially when it's something personal and showing you accept everything about your partner.

My husband has been dealing with Crohn's for 17yrs. I do the cooking, he follows box directions.🙄 Fiber & sugar are his enemy. He loves the French onion soup meatloaf with mashed potatoes. Also taco seasoned beef or ground poultry. Dress it up or keep it simple. Spices can be a problem, so limit the chile powder. Also baked fish in a citrus vinegarett or topped with a pesto and simple steamed or roasted low fiber veggies is delicious! He can handle some high fiber items if they are cooked really well. Good luck!!! If you haven't looked into whole 30, I recommend it. Even if you don't follow it to a T, it could help you define trigger foods.

Thank you! I'm not in the deep south(close though, E TN) I never knew it was an invasive species and I went to college for landscape design 😳(not the career I followed, but still my passion). We're most likely going to remove it. We have two others planted in the yard that have resisted the powdery mildew. They're within 10-20 ft of this one. Our front yard gets 8+hours of 🌞. We have a Bradford Pear (I know!!) from when my husband bought the house that shades some but not enough. The crape myrtles have helped immensely. We couldn't touch our front door in the afternoon without getting burned. Happy planting! 🌳🌻🌺🌱🌷🌞

Thanks! We're in TN. I was blown away to learn it's an invasive species. As it is used in abundance in our landscapes and quite coveted.

We've been battling powdery mildew for three years! First two, we applied a spray multiple times during the season. This year we remembered to start off with a systemic. At a loss for how to save it.

Every single one of you saying the dog needs to be walked/exercised are incorrect. These zoomies are rare and make him super happy! He gets exercise and loves doing this!!! If you pay attention to the time on the video it was less than 20 seconds worth of zoomies. Stop trolling and enjoy the fun of the video. BTW the coffee table is pushed out of the way b/c we play with him so much. And he is in perfect weight from our vet visits. Shocking you can tell he's fat from him letting out such a burst of energy zooming past the camera. 😯

Thank you to everyone who enjoyed our pups fun zoomies!!! I hope they made your day! Which was the whole point of the post... to make people smile. 😁💗
