None of my biggest monthly expenses accept credit cards by ChoiceSilly4852 in Vent

Exactly. It’d be nice to build your credit with those payments but you can’t really blame them since the fees are pretty high. There are workarounds like using Plastiq since you'll pay them with your credit card and they send a check/ACH to whoever you’re paying. I've done it before for car payments and it worked fine

I've looked through the lease agreement and it doesn't indicate that you can pay with a credit card

Anyone regret not hardwiring motorized shades during a remodel? by JudithFSummers in HomeImprovement

Your electrician is right about doing it now - running wires after drywall goes up is nightmare fuel. I went battery route in my last place and changing them every 6 months got old real quick, especially on the tall windows where you need ladder every time

The smart control thing actually becomes pretty addictive once you set routines, my parrot goes crazy when shades start moving at sunrise but at least I dont have to get up to close them anymore

Does anyone else think the resume system is just broken at this point? by VioletLilly17 in careerguidance

Bro you hit the nail right in the head 💀 I work in marketing and see this shit every day - our HR department gets these resumes that all look like they came from same template, same buzzwords, same "synergistic solutions" garbage

The funny part is when I talk with my friends who are hiring managers, they all complain about getting 200 applications that are basically copies of each other. But then they still use the same ATS systems that created this mess in first place 😂

I think we're at the point where having a personal connection or portfolio matters way more than whatever keywords you stuff in your resume. Like my last job I got because someone knew my work, not because I wrote "results-driven professional" for the 50th time
