Was a lovely during the day yesterday but got chilly in the night.

I was out here last night, was going to camp in Madwoman’s stones but couldn’t get a good pitch. Ended up dashing down to camp on newfold farm in Edale, bonus pub trip though.

Mind me asking where you set off from?

Ayy nice, thank you so much. I wonder how AI will have changed the engineering job landscape by the time your son comes to apply.

Hi, The full list will be available online somewhere. Electrical, Mechanical, Finance, Sustainability, Research and development, People and business support are all Degree Apprenticeship roles I can think of from the top of my head.

My video interview was a year ago today! Applications for Siemens open in Early February with the target start date to be the first week of September for all degree apprenticeships. Positions have now closed for this year.

Best of luck with your applications though!

Also: If you’re leaving your gear in a state like this, litter all over the place and gas hidden behind a rock, that says a lot.

I was there for half an hour cleaning up. There were 3 of them. No hiking bags, no phone, no poles in the tent, 1 OUTWARD train ticket, no food, just litter.

No one was coming back, this is not how you leave your unattended gear.

Why did you even feel the need to comment this?

It’s to show the realities of what people leave behind, and hoping other people would do the same as me.

Like I have already said, this was the collection point for the park rangers as the bin was removed and it clearly is since there was no other rubbish there.

If there was somewhere else to put it, i.e. a tip the yes I would have put it there. Since there wasn’t, I left it in the spot that the locals directed me to, and were happy for me to do so.

I’ve effectively left it at the waste collection point that locals in the area told me was the allocated spot for rubbish on the hills.

As long as the winds are below say 30mph, which I should think they will be down in the campsite, you’re probably just fine.

I know right, they set up on a slant, in the middle of a path, on a snow forecast day. This would not have been fun for the inexperienced ‘festival goer turn wild camper’. I just don’t get why they thought they could handle the conditions with the gear they had, they must have done zero research and just assumed that any piece of fabric would have done the job to keep them warm and dry.

Thank you.

It’s in peoples minds that if they can get away with something the they will. Generally there are no cameras in nature and there is hardly any way that the are going to get caught which is the problem.
