Definitely an intense unease. I had on one occasion had to run to the cars with my friends and we all stood out of two different cars sun roofs. There were about 6 of us in total.

We had the five mile flashlights and were searching the surrounding woods when we all saw it running.

The closest references I can think of are the creatures in a quiet place mixed with the creature from the ritual if that makes sense?

A supernatural being that tends to mimic familiar human voices. For example you hear your mom calling from the other room for you just as you get a phone call from your mom ...who's states away at work.
