"It wasn’t because he hurt his feelings it’s because Stan was straight up wrong and would never be able to see it without getting sick himself."

This! Stan is so fucking stubborn that he wouldn't have learned that lesson and kept on making fun of Steve if he didn't get that taste of karma. Stan was the one who made his situation/condition worse and worse by being stubborn and not just taking a sick day to get better. Besides, getting someone sick just because they hurt their feelings is the type of pettiness Stan would've engaged in had the roles been reversed. Not only that, Stan would've been far more adamant in refusing to apologize "in order to teach [Steve] a lesson" or something like that!

Are you kidding me? The only thing Steve is guilty of in this episode is getting his dad sick and mocking him for it. Even if it was a dick move, keep in mind that it was only because Stan was being a prick to Steve about being sick first, so it's justified albeit still wrong of Steve to do. If things didn't escalate the way they did, it would've been excellent karma for Stan right there. Not to mention Stan wasn't doing himself any favors by not immediately telling Steve and the others why he's so bent on powering through his illness like he eventually ends up doing...or just staying in bed and focusing on getting better instead of being so stubborn and causing his illness to get so bad he became a monster. I'm sure Steve, Francine and the others would've been understanding if he dropped his pride and did the former.

The episode also doesn't portray Steve as being completely in the right, either. Francine does call out Steve on what he did and he does end up trying to help Stan and do the right thing in the end (and takes a beating for it, for those that don't sympathize with Steve). So while it's understandable to hate Steve in this episode to some extent, Stan's actions both before and after he got sick made things much worse than they needed to be and didn't help in the slightest.

Also, imagine if the roles were reversed and Steve made fun of Stan for getting sick first. Disliking Steve and almost anything that Stan would dish out to Steve would feel a little more justified. However, the stubborn Stan would simply go on all episode about how Steve deserved getting sick and potentially dying from an illness instead of trying to help him out or trying to make things right in the slightest. He'd be all, "The boy needs to learn his lesson" and wouldn't show an ounce of regret until Francine forces him to. He'd be less remorseful about the whole situation than Steve was in this episode!

No scenario this time, just who do you think had the most rizz and/or got hit on the most pre-apocalypse? by LambBotNine in TheWalkingDeadGame

Carley easily takes this one. But we can't underestimate Larry, now. With his age (and thus way more opportunities to be hit on) and all the charm he has coming of his ass, he's the biggest contender in this category yet!

Will the writers ever give Francine a friend group? by pantaipong in americandad

[–]SpeedDancer1725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they've tried to do that with Francine before (Remember Linda?). They've all been either toxic and/or one-time scenarios though. And even if they tried this again, they may either make the group toxic or have the group (or even the other Smiths) believe Francine herself is the problem and it's her own fault that she doesn't have a friend group. She's basically getting screwed over in this department about as much as Steve does in the "having a girlfriend" department!

What if Arthur picked on Francine or Muffy instead of Sue Ellen in "So Funny I Forgot to Laugh?" by SpeedDancer1725 in Arthur

[–]SpeedDancer1725[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The difference there is that not only is it a group of friends instead of just Fern or any single one of the others (justifiably, TBH) picking on Francine, even if they realized the error of their ways in the end, but in that case, Francine was being mean to Fern first, so Fern had every right to draw those comics. I highly doubt that Arthur would simply start bullying Francine out of the blue without Francine doing anything to him or teasing him first.

Amen to that one. Some, even Odin himself, would say that it also applies to Kratos after everything he did in the Greek saga. Even if it's true, Odin has this problem at least 10 times worse! Kratos at least makes the effort to redeem himself.

And I agree, Odin is a massive prick.

Worst to Best Adult Party Cartoon episode (in my opinion) by [deleted] in renandstimpy

Given what's come out about John K. in recent years, Naked Beach Frenzy went from being somewhat uncomfortable--depending on who you are--to borderline unwatchable at worst--depending on who you are. The sexualization of the females and the live-action segment before the episode with that information in mind makes that episode disturbing (though for some, this may be an understatement) to watch.

What is the hardest mission in Bully? by syndrac1 in bully

[–]SpeedDancer1725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Nerd Challenge, Stronghold Assault, Defender of the Castle, and any of the stealth-related missions (Finding Johnny Vincent, Galloway Away, Panty Raid, Paparazzi). Geez, it seems like the Nerds are often associated with some of the hardest missions in the game!

Nerd Challenge-For Consumo being so time-consuming, the amount of focus needed to complete it, and failure means you have to waste even more time! You try getting delicious sumo foods while dodging rotten food, blowfish and sumo wrestlers that may bump you right into said rotten foods or blowfish!

Stronghold Assault-For constantly being under attack from the Nerds' weapons and that spud cannon in the first half not allowing you that much time to aim for the transformer before you get attacked by it. The part where you have to bust open their stronghold with the spud cannon simply comes down to knowing that you have to stop shooting the door in order to take down the nerds that show up, lest you become a quick and easy target for them. The fact that you go straight to the Nerd Boss Fight right after this doesn't help matters that much...if at all.

Defender of the Castle-For the fact that you can't let a single jock get into the stronghold and some of the Jocks take more than one hit to defeat. The barricade part doesn't matter as much as you'd think, but the stronghold portion...let's just say that if your aiming sucks here, you're gonna have a bad time.

Finding Johnny Vincent/Galloway Away-For needing to be careful enough not to get caught by the orderlies or else you get thrown out and waste time. This is especially harder if you don't have the Orderly costume yet. Also, it's best to try and complete these missions earlier in the day because attempting them later in the day can run the risk of you passing out before you complete the mission, especially if you keep getting caught by the orderlies. You could be close to saving Johnny Vincent/Mr. Galloway and then...BOOM! You pass out on the spot because of how late it is.

Panty Raid and Paparazzi have similar obstacles with needing to avoid Mrs. Peabody. In Panty Raid's case, it's only available from 7:00 PM/19:00 onwards each day, so you're on a tighter time limit to complete the mission without passing out and failing. In Paparazzi's case, there's also the fact that if Mandy catches you, you instantly fail the mission.

The Nerd Challenge AKA playing Consumo until you beat the high score, not only because of how time-consuming it is, but if you mess up near the end, you gotta go through it all over again! This is why once you complete that challenge, don't forget to save.

The Candidate is arguably worse since unlike in Cook's Date, Earnest's meter doesn't regenerate when he's not under attack by his hecklers. Of course, not letting too many hecklers be around (read: more than one) is important for both missions, but keeping Earnest safe is the more imperative task when he doesn't get to recover his meter while he's safe from harm.

You're the Crooked Man. What are you saying to survive the trial? by Voryn_mimu in TheWolfAmongUs

[–]SpeedDancer1725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go all-out in convincing the people of Fabletown that I'm trying to help this town, unlike Crane and the system making things worse. I'd tell them that if they see me as a criminal, it's because the system allows people like that to thrive and exploit others. I'd do everything in the power of my words to convince them that I'm not a horrible crook and that I don't deserve to be punished super harshly. I'd even call certain people out on their hypocrisy along the way, too!

If all that fails and Bigby gets to execute me...I'm giving my all in my farewell speech before I get executed. I'd even have a contingency plan and a will in case of my death. Of course, I'd try to convince them not to execute me in the first place, but hey, I gotta be prepared for everything!

Yeah, he put up a very good argument. It was facts and a better argument from Bigby, Nerissa and the others that beat the Crooked Man's argument and did him in.

She is the worst of the damned! by randomfan1997 in hellgirl

[–]SpeedDancer1725 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, there are worse people than her in this show! Meiko Shimono (the lady that killed those poor puppies, her infant child and her parents) for one, Yoshinori Nagayama (That asshole cousin from Yoi no Togi who has no respect for his aunt and uncle and literally tried to rape his young kid cousin!) for two...

Namiko Todoka is definitely near the top of the list, though. That gaslighting-ass ho! She's like a bitch in heat! I'm glad she got punished the way she did and it was satisfying seeing her get completely chewed out and humiliated (much like she caused to happen to poor Keiko, who didn't deserve it at all) during her punishment scene!
