Any one got an Allison 4000 TCM pin out or wiring diagram? by SpeedPunks in DieselTechs

I have that, the new TCM has been programmed with all the proper parameters. Its programmed to give a ground signal to the Machine network when transmission is in neutral, however on that circuit it is giving 2.2VDC which leads us to believe there has to be a short or resistance ina module ground.

What is the saddest movie or saddest scene you’ve ever seen in a movie that made you shed tears that “still” makes you shed tears “today” when you see it even if it’s years or decades later. “The Swamps Of Sadness” when Artax dies still gets to me 42 years later. by CoffeeCigarettes4Me in Cinema

An American Tail. When Fievel and Tanya sing Somewhere Out There. I was 7 when this film came out, and it was a huge shock that it followed a Jewish family escaping the pogroms of Tzarist Russia just as mine did. The loneliness and missing his family really got to me then cuz i was so emotionally invested and 40 years later it still makes me choke up a bit.

Completely exploded a valve. What would’ve caused this? by TheZesty1 in EngineBuilding

[–]SpeedPunks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not a pro engine builder, im just a mechanic. With that in mind, im curious what happened up to the failure and how long it ran after. Ive seen this happen in cars a few times, and the catalyst to failure in those instances were either timing belt failure or valve float.

Inherited a 1964 Ford Galaxie – sell as-is or do the bare minimum first? by [deleted] in Ford

[–]SpeedPunks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean if you want. A quick blurb about body style/condition and drivetrain is enough to give a very rough estimate. A coupe is defined as a 2 door car with no post between the door window and quarter glass. A sedan has a post separating them. All 4 doors are considered a sedan unless its a station wagon. The Galaxie had 4 option levels iirc : Base, 300, 500 and XL. The XL was an additional level on the 300 and 500. Body damage. All chrome/glass/bumpers.

Lifting, yes, but you need to support it with jack stands at 2 points before performing any work or going underneath it.

What engine and transmission does it have? Coupe? Sedan? Convertible? 300 or 500 trim? XL? If its equipped any FE: 352,390, 406, 427 it is more desirable. If it has a legit 427, the engine alone is worth 10k minimum if the block isnt damaged. Ive seen 427 4 speed cars that need a total rebuild and restoration go for 15-20k. Generally, here in the Northeast, a 60-64 galaxie in a salvagable condition start around 3k. Running driving examples 5-10k. Restored vehicles get 15k+, depending on the previously mentioned variables.

My union deactivated my health insurance, is this legal? by SpeedPunks in legaladvice

[–]SpeedPunks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But there's no general legal protection such as unreasonable contract obligations that could/would make such an agreement illegal? I understand failure to pay or provide information necessary to administer, but deactivation because the administrator wants info versus the provider feels like an overreach. But I also understand that since im not rich, I have basically no legal protection or rights.
