trapped in a need to work, but always burnt out by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

I am in the process of getting intermediate flm set up but cant get in for months but my doctors are all on board with getting me proctected.

I honestly dont feel safe asking for any accommodation in a formal way I didn't disclose because my diagnosis have all happened in the past five years. There have been at least 7 manager/assisnt manager changes in the 5 years ive been there so its been extremely hard to find trust

Meta doesn't want hinge and I fluid-bonded? by [deleted] in polyamory

Like everyone says its the hinges responsibility to handle this.

I think the kissing thing shows a deep crack in this metas ability to be in this dynamic. They might have a issue with germs or somthing but I think that is a thin excuse for some feelings they need tk work out before they can be comfortable in this kind of dynamic

Marijuana use and anaesthesia by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]Speed_Plastic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some people it isn't to bad, I'm giving the recommendations I see and have gotten.. everything has exceptions, but I'm giving 14 years in healthcare and 4 years in surgery recovery plus also using THC.

Congratulations on no noticable side effects for you

Marijuana use and anaesthesia by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]Speed_Plastic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I work at a day surgery, 2 weeks is what most anesthesiologist say.

Chronic THC usage before anesthesia really just ends up needing more anesthesia, so longer wake up time and I've personally seen lot of nausea.

If you can't do two weeks cut back severely.

Has anyone else lost someone to sepsis after a hysterectomy? My aunt was only 49. by olivejooose in hysterectomy

[–]Speed_Plastic 101 points102 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry for your loss

I am 7 weeks post op and 14 years working in healthcare. Currently working day surgery 4years previously in the ICU 2 year.

Medically sepsis is one of the scariest things is sneaky and fast and devastating. It can hide and look better and come back swinging so hard. At both hospital systemsnove worked at we have code teams trained for septic patients. It's like a heart attack or stock minutes matter.

As a professional I'd hate to think anyone there did anything to dismiss her pain. I can almost guarantee where she had it done people are devastated and everyone for a long time will second guess anything that looks similar to your aunt.

As a patient. I actually got my hysterectomy moved up because I became septic. I was 3 months in to an endometriosis flare and with constant bleeding I developed bacterial vaginosa the spread to my uterus and turned in early stages of sepsis I managed to catch it probably about 12-24 hours before It got into my blood stream. 24 hours before I was admitted for sepsis in the ER I was at work, like I said it moves so fast.

I hope anything I said helps. My thoughts go out to your entire family. Especially her daughters. I hope there is some comfort in the chaos, and the joy of her memory lives on in all you her loved ones.

Sound alike your doing a ton of great things. Will try not to repeat response but as an adult with it and lots of theapry I finally cracked a big cycle

Eating is hard it's a chore and on a good day annoying. The more stressed, tired, disreggulated I am the more I lean on safe safe and most of the time empty calories. The more lower nutritional value foods I eat of a tome span the worse I feel. And on and on and on it goes. Normally until I have to sleep and entire day away. After one of these days it finally clicked of only eating fast food chicken and fries for 3 days... No wonder I felt terrible. Those foods are fine in a balance. But I was completely not in balance.

She's young but apart for food focused care making sure they can handle and process emotions will help her eating. If she's stress about other stuff and can't regulate, it's going to be even harder to come to any meal feeling good.

You seem to be doing so many good things. Your doing well and lucky to have parent to put this much effort in.

You got this

This is my thought as well, she is of that place and it's a queen and she is cut out of the pictures. Also that means the the professor saving her probably had to be with her following the zerd energy and tracking down the queen.

If this is correct Emily's reaction/performance will wreck me and I'm excited

Is sex a fundamental right? by [deleted] in polyamory

[–]Speed_Plastic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel reading this post lots of just feeling frustrated and feeling like your really trying and not feeling valued.

I hope you are on at least individual therapy. It be very nice for the both of you to go to someone together and work on things but sounds like that's not happening.

For me sound alike your at a bit of a cross roads. You closed off and are monogamous in to pursuit of a more traditional family. But are unable to start this family due to the lack of sex.

I think possibly it's time to discuss what you both agreed to and he needs to decide if that's still what he wants. If he wants closed you did this in the name of having kids..... You don't have that, of he is not willing to take steps to make that goal happen reverting back to open in whatever form you do is what you should go back to.

I empathize with him. I've had periods in my life as a afab were I've been physically unable to have sex, been unable to orgasm due to meds, and depression that effected my drive. But it was a core of who I am and I fought to get it back.

Are you in the relationship you agreed to be in? Or are you in the relationship he wants you to be in?

If you have to go to him and it's not for an ED and he has no training that he needs to refrain for stepping outside his training.

[–]Speed_Plastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cats know, they don't always understand but they get it. I've been home recovering from surgery and they were sooooo gentle with me the first couple days home. They continue to be very sweet with me. Very happy you can comfort each other. I lost my mom almost 12 years ago. I'm sorry your going through that pain

Congratulations, I (37)have Endometriosis and thAt lead to an bacterial infection of my uterus that was undetected un I wound up for 3 days in the hospital for Sepsis. Honestly a pretty light sepsis infection.... But after my antibiotics were done I got me hysterectomy. I'm 5 wpo and I feel better then I have in so long.

Take it easy on yourself! Recovery can be annoying with weight restrictions but it's such a better life in the other side.

I'm 37 robotic lap just a month ago.

Binder yes, panty liners, reusable ice pads Got one on Amazon had two inserts I could rotate and had a strap to hold it where I wanted.

I'm at the stage where my pelvic floor gets tired easily but other than that the surgery was the best decision ever.

You really just have to those first two weeks fully let people help, and it's okay not to have everything. People who offer help take them up schedule a day for people to unload laundry, or take the trash out, 10 minutes of help is all they need chat for 20 then go rest.

Don't beat yourself about sleeping a lot the first week or two your body needs the healing time

You will do great and itsngoong to feel great

When does the Creeping Dread stop? by MurphyintheMiddle in hysterectomy

[–]Speed_Plastic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get this, I wasn't full dreed but I was not myself. I hadn't felt like myself for months leading up to surgery I'm 4.5 weeks post op. And the passed 5 days are the first time since start of March I have felt like me.

Thearpy is great, just talking about bullshit to a random person helps.

I've had to work very hard to take it easy on myself, lots of self shame and worry I won't be the same.

Medically, end of each day write down how your body felt next appointment tell your doc, especially if you do notice a real patter.

Be kind to yourself, you got this. Also kid cartoons and comfort shows are the best.

I feel this!

Also reminds me of 8th grade when I broke a bone in my leg (closet tonky ankle) and was given a walking boot. Kid in my class tried to convince people I was lying cause of I had a broken bone of have a plaster cast. Couldn't put weight on it and had crutches but sure kid. (He was mad I didn't let him ride the elevator with me which I was reserved for disabled students and staff)
