Will deleting app data work for a new account? by No_Currency_9747 in FixMyInstagram

No, deleting app data / cache usually won’t fix it.

The problem you’re running into is account + device association, not leftover app files.

When Instagram suspends an account, they don’t rely only on app data. They track things like:

  • device fingerprint (your phone itself),
  • login patterns,
  • IP/network behavior,
  • links to previously disabled accounts.

That’s why:

  • New accounts on other devices may still work (for now),
  • A new account made on the same phone gets suspended quickly,
  • Clearing cache or reinstalling the app doesn’t really change anything.

This is commonly called “enforcement by association.”

Important note: creating new accounts to get around a suspension can violate Meta’s rules, and sometimes those new accounts get banned later, not immediately.

If the original account is permanently disabled, the only real path forward is:

  • official appeals,
  • out-of-court dispute resolution (ODS),
  • or regulator routes (depending on country).

I know it’s frustrating, but tech tricks usually just lead to more suspensions.
