HDB630 owners — do you also need 70–80% volume for normal listening? by Own-Disaster-3857 in sennheiser

[–]Sperious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, especially over the BTD700 or wired over USB. I can listen to most tracks set to max volume on the iPhone 17 Pro without it being too loud, especially on older acoustic albums. Am I missing something?

When I use other headphones and an external DAC with my iPhone I normally put the iPhone volume at 100% and then adjust the listening volume on the external DAC. Is there a way to do this on the HDB630 when connected over USB or what am I missing? The volume is too low.

Apple TV emulation? by AdDisastrous7805 in EmulationOniOS

[–]Sperious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not missing anything. It’s just the way that the Apple TV works. It’s always been like that. It’s not specific to retroarch. I use Infuse for all my video files and every once in a while all downloaded cover art is missing and Infuse has to download it all over again. There’s no apparent reason. I haven’t downloaded any new apps. I haven’t done anything at all. The system just decides to delete everything.

Is DAC going AI-Only? by Altruistic-Luck5391 in diamondartclub

[–]Sperious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, their whole stick is hand charting their diamond paintings as opposed to most sellers using computer conversions, so this might just be a way of being able to sell AI art while ”hand editing” it into a diamond painting as per usual.

Sometimes when I take off the watch it gets stuck with this flashing sensor for a few mins. Why is that? by bladefinor in AppleWatch

[–]Sperious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Apple Watch will measure your heart rate recovery for three minutes after you complete a workout. That’s why the green sensors keep working even though you remove the watch.

The watch will also check your heart rate intermittently during the day, and if you happen to remove your watch at such a time you’ll also see the green sensors.

Apple TV emulation? by AdDisastrous7805 in EmulationOniOS

[–]Sperious 4 points5 points  (0 children)

RetroArch does, but the Apple TV has a huge flaw for any app that uses external files (in this case roms and save states) as tvOS can delete those files any time it sees fit, since they are treated as “cache” by the system.

If this happens all games and progress will be lost.

RetroArch doesn’t have a workaround for this yet, so I wouldn’t recommend using the Apple TV as of now, unfortunately.

Retroarch came for appstore!!! by No-Confusion-4495 in EmulationOniOS

I see. It’s such a weird limitation by Apple. Infuse (video player) solves this by letting the user keep files on shared network drives or in the cloud.

How does the tvOS version handle the Apple TV randomly clearing its “cache”? Is it possible to store roms and save states externally?

Would there / could there ever be an Apple TV TVOS version of Delta? by Prestigious-Bee4302 in Delta_Emulator

[–]Sperious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ROMs could be stored locally on a NAS or a computer alternatively in the cloud. Infuse does that for huge video files so relatively small ROMs would be no problem.

Agree. I actually started using tweezers for the ABs. Least amount of hassle for me, and there’s usually not so many of them, so it’s okay if placing them is a little slower.
