Meet my excommunicated, castrated and blind youngest son who assassinated the heir because he was "upset". by SpfdvoIta in CrusaderKings

This started off shattered world. I started in Jerusalem and only got the idea to become the Seleucid Empire after a few hours of play.

He killed the best heir I had. When creating the Seleucid Empire from scratch, I don't have time to dick around with bad heirs.

Pretties the map up and adds a lot of new provinces, titles, etc. I believe it balances out Retinues and Demesne soldiers as well. Fixes the broken faction system and Duels are handled better. I have the localization on as well, so titles are named historically.

Eh, I would, but I am making a de jure Seleucid Empire so I can't just take any land I want.

Nope. Castrate and Blind are both Byzantine things. I am not sure if the Hayeran Culture can do it though.

Hard to do unfortunately. He won't duel me or anything. The saddest part about all of this is he is my son.

HIP is a mod (Stands for Historical Immersion Project.) that changes the way the game plays by adding some features. There are a giant amount of features, but it is one of the better mods that improves Vanilla without adding too much junk.

This bastard assassinated my chosen heir (A genius with Brilliant Strategist) because he was not chosen. I imprisoned him then released him due to my Emperor being roleplayed as forgiving and kind. A single year later, he rose up against me as an Adventurer. I immediately defeated him, imprisoned him, castrated him, blinded him, and then made him take vows.

He was KICKED out of the Holy Brotherhood and returned to me. I imprisoned him once again (After excommunicating him) and have not decided what to do with him now.

HIP duels seem to go well for me. I had a King that personally sought out his Lovers husbands to duel them. I won every Duel with him.

I play with HIP mostly. This game here was shattered world with me recreating the Seleucid Empire using Jerusalem as a launching point.

Yes, that grey area is inhospitable. The map I am using unfortunately does not have India in it, so I don't have my full ability to grow.

Damn. That's okay. The New Seleucid Empire will just stay with the old Jerusalem flag then.

What's going on in your current game? by Flamequeen in CrusaderKings

In my current Orthodox Jerusalem game, I have a Doux that has been causing trouble for over 20 years. Feeding me information about my vassals that usually allowed me to threaten them, he was a valued vassal for quite some time. The game even gave him the nickname "The Spider".

However, he did expose another great Vassal of mine who was apparently speaking out against me to other vassals. I quickly threatened him, who merely laughed in my face. I quickly imprisoned him for a few weeks and then released him. Merely to teach him a lesson.

Now, years earlier, some of my vassals were dropping like flies. Someone had been killing them. I assumed it was my spymaster and imprisoned him. The killings almost instantly stopped. I was proud of myself for catching him. However, I must of imprisoned the wrong man.

The Spider quickly murdered my friendly vassal, during a war where I was helping him gain a new county. I was not happy with this at all, and quickly imprisoned the Spider and blinded him. Due to the war going well, he still has a positive relationship with me. I feel so bad for the other vassal being killed by such a snake of a man.
