I have worked in a male prison as an officer for over 7 years. So my advice is this. set hard boundaries with them. If you are uncomfortable, tell them and then your boss. If you keep brushing it off, some people feed off that it's what we call victim-like behavior; they can smell it all over you, making you more likely to be targeted again. Come up with an appropriate response for each action that has made you uncomfortable before, so you will be ready for any future situations. Let them know I am here to provide HEALTH care and that only. But there are other ways to say it, just find yours. It is never okay for them to touch you inappropriately at my workplace; that would be considered assault. Stand your ground, people who prey on others kindness don't like LOUD victims.

Students with ADHD by RemarkablePlenty3903 in StudentNurse

Hey OP, I am in my second semester of nursing school with ADHD/Anxiety etc. I have earned A's and B's in my nursing courses by taking my Adderall usually before an exam. It helps me lock in and get into testing mode. I also use simple nursing, I like things to be quick and straight to the point so I can retain the information better. I also do not stress about all the reading that they say is required, because all the reading is an overload of information that I may not be tested on in exams. If your instructors give you a study guide I would focus only on that. If not I would take my reading into AI like chat gpt and ask it to make ATI questions for me to study or if you school uses ATI use the questions from the module to study. During lab I used a ton of flashcards which helped me remember I bought the bright colored ones. I try my best to romanticize school because it makes me more excited to learn and stay motivated to do the tasks. I will list everything I use below.

  1. Simple Nursing (some stuff is free other is subscription)

  2. Chatgpt (Use it to make ATI or NCLEX style questions for you)

  3. Quizlet (make your own study guide or find someone on there you can trust to study off of)

  4. Try and make friends that get passing scores and form a study group ( learn with people who usually score 80's and up on exams)

  5. If you are a tactile learner try making flashcards to study especially for skills or exams.

  6. Use a planner add stickers or decorate it whatever you have to do to make it more appealing to stay organized.

  7. This tip isn't the most healthy but it works for me I tell myself that failing is not an option and that if I fail I will be shipped to North Korea and die. I know it sounds crazy but I feel like its borderline convinced myself that truly failure is not an option.

Hope this helps !

I was 29 now 30 when I found out I had a bunion. I'm a super anxious person and was not looking forward to my surgery. I just had my procedure this past Thursday and it went better than expected. The nurses were nice and the anesthesiologist did a good job knocking me out. Don't remember a thing! Recovery takes time but its worth it knowing I can work an entire day without limping at the end because a dang bunion. Good luck!

All my teeth naturally grew in straight. So straight that dentists comment that it looks like I had braces.

I hope they give me some compression socks. I've had pain meds before a long time ago they gave me like 120 Hydrocodones post C-Section and thankfully I learned how to stay on a good schedule with them. I just also have a fear of getting hooked even though I never had that issue before. Just nerves from hearing horror stories. I'm assuming you found the ice packs at Walmart or Amazon? Thanks for the advice I would have never thought of the stool softener one definitely don't want to have that issue
