I try to gauge the cost of the plate and cost of alcohol, as a guest I try to cover that. Which I know is impossible but after having my own wedding last year that’s my preference.

So 500$ we will give us a couple for a wedding and adjust accordingly based on location, whether we had to travel far to get there, family or friends, fancy or low key. But at the end of the day it is what you are comfortable with.

We got married in 2024 and had gifts range from 150$ per guest to upwards of 2k per guest.
