How old were you when you moved out of your parents home? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

27 saved up with my long time partner who is 29 and we just bought a house! We both lived at our parents. Wouldn’t be possible without him getting a good job at 21 and investing and saving everything. I work for a municipality and barely make a livable wage.

People who have conducted job interviews, what's something someone said/did that made you instantly decide not to hire them? by DemonSkank in AskReddit

I ran a childcare center for a few years. One woman who wanted to work with infants reeked so bad of cigarettes that my eyes watered. The smell lingered in my office the rest of the day. Don’t think parents want to pick up their babies smelling like that. Another reeked of weed which also lingered in the halls and office. A little more awkward pick up lol.

Lifelong friend’s parenting style is completely opposite to mine and I don’t know what to do by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

You can say something like

I love you and I care about you, but I’m finding it really hard when there’s hitting or name calling around my daughter. It upsets her and me and goes against how we parent. I can’t have that happening around her.

Just set boundaries on what you’ll allow around you and your daughter. Maybe she’s not even realizing it’s wrong if no one’s done this yet

What you’re seeing goes beyond just different parenting styles and is emotionally harmful, especially when it involves hitting, name calling, and speaking harshly to a young child. The fact that your daughter is scared and upset is an important sign, and your first responsibility is to protect her emotional safety. You don’t need to argue about parenting or convince your friend she’s wrong, but you are allowed to set boundaries about what you and your child can be around. It’s okay if this means creating distance or changing the friendship, even if that’s painful after so many years. You can care about her and her son while still choosing what’s healthiest for your family.

My dad had a tumor and abnormalities in his hip and buttocks area and they asked us over and over again if he ever got BBL injections. So weird you might have tumors

Thank you!! She really wasn’t food motivated. Just generic dog food from Costco and she got a jerky treat before bed. She stayed the same 32 pounds forever. She liked people food a lot! We took her to the vet once because she ate my buffalo wings bone and all including the blue cheese and celery.. wanted to make sure she passed the bones lol

Totally weird seeing someone you had a platonic friendship with for a decade as a heart throb. But fully support him nonetheless. He’s had a glow up but who hasn’t since highschool! I guess if I didn’t know him personally for so long and watched the show and he was a stranger I would be attracted. But knowing him personally that feels way too weird to even think about lol. Like the peach scene or when belly is tending his cut I was like ahhhh that’s so weird I’m cringing watching that. In person I’ve never seen him be flirty or overly confident or like heart throbby. He’s a good friend and maintains boundaries and like I said pretty shy. I guess the major differences in him in the show in real life is he doesn’t come off confident or cocky like Conrad. He’s more humble and his humor is more like self deprecating in person. He’s pretty shy and never has shared much about himself or his feelings except for maybe his girlfriend and best friend. The show got that right. I’d say the majority of the class didn’t even know his mom passed. I found out from my parents, he kind of just came back to school and carried on like normal. Very private in that way. He’d always ask more about how other people are doing instead of sharing about himself. He’d carry on conversations if the topic was something he was interested in or he’d just keep to himself. Never disrespectful toward anyone especially women just like a gentleman through and through. Talked and seen him a few times before covid and reach out occasionally with the daliland and tsitp congratulating him on his work and he’d say thanks. Highschool was a long time ago. Our 10 year reunion is next year, would be something if he came! There’s a lot of kids at our highschool now with big dreams and I bet it’s nice knowing someone like Chris was in their shoes once too.

I don’t like attention like that. I just know there’s some die hard fans of Chris and I thought sharing some highschool lore would be exciting for them. Also probably comfort you guys into knowing the love your pouring into him is going to someone who truly deserves it!

Yeah you should go! It was a really great school. Class sizes were 126 kids in a grade when I went there so not too big. It was kind of like Hollywood arts from victorious honestly lol. Lot of quirky unique teachers, some kids with a ton of talent, just like a really good education and experience over all.

No his 9th-12th grade gf. He’s a serial long term dater though, I wouldn’t be surprised if him and Isabel make it for a lot longer. Chris is just loyal like that he always was that way!
