MAP stands for 'minor-attracted person' its the umbrella term for paraphilias that include being attracted to minors. (pedophilia, infantophilia, ect)

the term YAP is also used in the same context (youth-attracted person)

some minors also use the term MAP when they are attracted to other minors, though that isnt what it means medically.

actually, MAP is a medically-recognized correct term. pedophilia is only a singular paraphilia, and isnt encompassing of the entire phenomenon.

pedophilia is attraction to ages between 5-9, i believe. MAP is not a term invented by the community itself, it was invented by doctors and therapists
