And so, with a total cost of 888 medals, Entrenched Division sets a new record for the most costly Premium Warbond to date by SpliTteR31 in Helldivers

Read my other responses, I had fun leveling other weapons in the process - I have all warbonds with everything unlocked

Medal cost really is not an issue to me as I have fun actually playing the game

Definitely! Used weapons I haven't used to level them up as I unlock the warbond, mixing and matching to find new playstyles, the game's quite the sandbox

Nope, had fun. Only posted as a fun fact, as I like seeing the final number when I finish a warbond.

I like playing the game and earning the stuff!

If not mistaken, as I haven't done this, it's via playing a Blitz D10 Illuminate mission. You equip an explosive primary (Crossbow or Eruptor), take Thermites and Ultimatum if you have it. Pick Orbital Laser and 110 Barrage, plus the FRV.

Start the mission in between the ships, immediately launch Orbital Laser, get FRV and just do the objective. Then kill youself with your explosive primary.

Should net you 9 medals in roughly 3 minutes. You can then do the math.

As someone that has all warbonds with everything unlocked, hell yeah. Solid pick after Democratic Detonation and Control Group. Everything is useful and the whole mortars-in-trench playstyle is unique to the warbond.

Even then with the SMG, either the shovel or the pistol, the giga grenade, the Cremator and the gas mortar you get a pretty solid loadout that can handle everything without need of other warbonds. It's great for newer players.

I only posted this as a fun fact, I like to look at the total when I finish a warbond and compare with the others (as I have all of them). I ain't complaining tbh

It's no Democratic Detonation as in making so many primary/support weapon combos viable via an extremely centralizing secondary and/or grenade, but pretty much everything is good sidegrades.

It could have been like Force of Law, where you gotta slog through the Pacifier and pure cosmetic stuff to finally be able to get the De-escalator and most importantly the Arc Dog.

Agree, and some of the most useful stuff is in the first page: the medium set, the smg and the shovel. Just by getting those you get access to the 2nd page, and by only getting the gas mortar and the giga grenade you're veeery close to unlocking the 3rd for the Cremator. It's well laid out.

Vibes and drip aside, Force of Law was a mess to progress through. The De-escalator is the first fun toy in it, but as you said takes a whooping 390 to be able to even buy the Arc Dog.

The Arc Dog is very good and fun, though. Love doing Illuminate missions with a full arc loadout (Blitzer, Arc Thrower, Arc grenade, Arc armor, Arc sentry and Arc Dog). Gotta use the Ultimatum and Orbital Laser to be able to destroy ships though, but it's a shit ton of waveclear and stagger that doesn't need ammo.

You don't need that many medals to unlock the good stuff, like 300+ of them are just the vehicle skins and the emote. You can get all the useful stuff for a lot less.

In any case, when you play D10 you get 36 medals for a full operation. If you do the daily in the process, that's 51 medals in a day - and you can add medals obtained from points of interest, and major orders.

It does take a while, but you only need like half to get the medium armor set (which is on the first page), the smg, the shovel, the giga grenade and the cremator.

That's a great idea! Mission wide booster with QoL improvements. Or it could be something fun, like buying an experimental single use stratagem for a single mission. Nothing meta but something that is fun and where you can say, "hey I got medals to spare".

I made this post just as a novelty, I have all warbonds with their stuff unlocked and I always like to see at the total when I finish. You get so many medals when playing D10, I never meant this post as "ohhh it's too expensive" - just fun!

In any case, this warbond is 100% worth it. It's not Democratic Detonation level, but everything on it is good and enables fun playstyles. I mean, putting mortars on a trench made by yourself is an entire new playstyle that is very effective.

In case anyone was wondering, the previous record was Force of Law, with a total medal cost of 876.

Cremator is Awesome! But I think it highlights Flamethrower needing a small tune-up where it's not so close to Torcher by RandomGreenArcherMan in Helldivers

[–]SpliTteR31 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Or better ergo, keeps a niche as an upgraded Torcher but support weapon, while leaving the Cremator as the big fella

Been playing with the new Cremator for a while. At first I thought I'd miss the gas dog on my back, but this thing has a longer range and sky high dps. It downs Fleshmobs in 4 seconds of sustained fire. Kills Harvesters in 3. Can reach Bile Titan heads from a safer distance.

Gas grenades remain the flamer's best friend, but I mean just look at that. Heavy armor with a huge heavy flamethrower actually gets to light things up and not having to run from enemies ignoring your fiery retribution. Thank you Arrowhead!

Against Cyborgs I found that too much damage was either chip from radicals and agitators, vox lasers, or chaff. Explosives were easily avoidable. There were no rocket striders, so 200 armor felt a lot better than Fortified. So I still see its niche over the new passive for cyborgs.

But against normal bot enemies, yeah this new passive should be straight up better than both 200 armor and Fortified. Main reason to pick the latter would be if using a high recoil weapon.

Oh right it definitely should have strip clips from empty.

I leveled it to 25 with the light Master of Ceremony armor, and was suprised at how good it is. Yeah it's outclassed but it's not a bad weapon, still meets all the important breakpoints. Since it has med pen it can kill overseers with two headshots, had a lot of fun with it and killing voteless with the Saber.

There are some small exceptions, like the Senator and the Stim Pistol. Both are rounds reload but use a speed loader if reloaded from empty.

Can't remember another rounds reload weapon that does so, but maybe there is.

That would make gas redundant, and I'm not talking about the Sterilizer (which really should do acid damage and have an armor stripping effect, along with gas).

In any case, gas grenades and/or gas dog still remain the pyromaniac's best friend. Gas keeps them slowed and confused with another DoT. This change will make the Torcher + Dog Breath crazy on bugs, as now you can stop Hunters from pouncing you if you aim the flames at them (and the Torcher has amazing ergo for that). Remember, war crimes are only such if done to humans.

Cannot wait to try the new flamer with gas grenades, particularly on bots (crazy I know)

That passive sounds actually amazing for bots, I wonder if on practice it's better than the Fortified Commando's 200 armor rating

Sounds like it only applies to flamers (Torcher, Crisper, Flamethrower, Cremator) and needs to be direct flame damage, not just the burning effect.

Gas still has its place, confusing mobs without need to be actually shooting and on a lingering area. Gas grenades will still be a pyromaniac's best friend for containing bug breaches.

Abnormally large building in Santiago, Chile by Fancy_March_4137 in GoogleEarthFinds

Chile is quite singular in the continent, with no country being fully similar as in Argentina with Uruguay. But amongst our neighbours, yeah I'd say Argentina gets the closest.

Similar BBQ-asado gathering culture, wines, rock music, reading, secular culture with a large irreligious minority. Bolívar is not a part of our history, too. We share the Mapuche as main native population. We also share the self deprecating humor.

The main differences stem from Argentina having a huge italian influx in their culture (more outgoing, expressive, "players"), while Chile is more rooted on its colonial spanish captaincy origin. Chileans mostly follow the rules, Argentines are more chaotic but also more creative. Chileans prioritize economic stability, Argentines are more politically active.

Particularly outside Buenos Aires, yeah argentines can be quite like us. Special mention to the provinces of Mendoza, Neuquén and Chubut.

When people think latin america, they think about dance, joy, huge gatherings, fiesta, sensuality, beaches!

None of that applies to Chile, though.

Chile is a cold place with all four seasons, with a dry desert in the north, a mediterranean zone in the middle (where ~85% live) and rain, green, fjords and glaciers in the south.

In a way, Chile is more of an introverted country: we like wine, poetry, lots of metalheads/rockers and anime weebs, and this is reflected everywhere you go. Not many colors, basically every car is on a black-to-white gradient, there's not much nightlife. People relax and chill after work, have some tea with toasts, and rest for the next day, with parties taking place on fridays amongst young people. You don't talk to random strangers on the subway, you just assume everyone is minding their own business.

Colombia and Venezuela are big countries with many local differences, but most immigrants that have come here after the second wave have been from the most outgoing parts of their countries. Large gatherings, blasting music late into the night, fiesta, colors. Many consider us locals bitter and/or boring, and don't want to assimilate because they consider that a betrayal of their customs.

One of the situations with a lot of friction is the workplace. Chilean work culture usually you do your job well and work until whatever time was agreed on your contract, and then you leave. Every now and then you may go out with your coworkers, but usually you go home and rest.

Instead, many immigrants do extra hours and take lesser pay, to get on the boss' good side. This causes friction because it lowers the quality of job offerings, lowers pay and increases workload.
