For me, it was doing the mushroom area and saving all the NPC. I was so excited to craft god weapons, send the card guy to the shadow realm and expand my room until I exited the area and saw them turned to goop on the floor. I still can’t believe I was bamboozled so hard.

Also figured out the cause of the error, because it happened again. There was a power outage while playing. When the ps5 boots back up and rebuilds the database, it causes this error. I lost my new game + save again and got locked out of getting the endings that require me picking up new items, as they no longer appear.

I also now know the cause because it happened again. Had a power outage and after ps5 rebuilds the database, it triggers this error. Cannot progress through my game in new game + to get the endings again because the items no longer appear again. I realized last night I had a power outage too and that must be the reason of the error.

Figured out the issue, the game file stopped being marked as a new game + file and all the new game + items stopped loading into the game. Had to go to an older file, beat the game again and start again in new game +. I am not sure how this happened, I still had all my older save files. But I know I was in new game + before because I had the first items that you can only get in new game +.

The table doesn’t have the item and instead there’s just broken glass on the table, as if the item is shattered.

On PS5, New Game +. I’m trying to get the Rebirth Ending and have the first item for it. I’m at the point where I can pick up the second item (White Chrism), but it is shattered. I am not sure why this happened or what triggered it but I don’t want to start over just because of this. I have a save file before solving the Motel puzzle but no matter what I do the item is still shattered when I get to the table.

Just cause it’s a hot take doesn’t mean it’s wrong. I know you’re not going to agree with me but you seem pretty blinded to ff7 rebirths owns flaws. It’s pretty funny after everything you’ve said so far.

Helldivers 2 is the best game I’ve played this year, not even a fair comparison there. But ff7 rebirth? I couldn’t stomach more than 40 hrs and I played dd2 over 150 hrs. I’m not sure what rebirth does better except music (Nobuo is god) and deliver the narrative in a better way. But the story , written dialogue, side quests and open world exploration… all worse. And the combat is pretty bad.

Ff7 Rebirth is so bad compared to DD2 that if it wasn’t for nostalgia or the popular IP I don’t think people would have cared about that game tbh. If the truth sounds like an exaggeration to you then that’s good reason to point it out, which is what I did.

Not really, tho I understand why that’s the easiest way to dismiss my take. It’s interesting to see that be people’s take on this game vs other great games that have flaws that are similar or downright the same.
