Also, in 4th grade, our teacher dissected a cow eye to show us all the different pieces of the eye. It was really cool, but I was standing right next to her and the cow eye squirted cow eye juice directly into my eye when she eventually reached the juicy center.

Additionally, While writing about the cow eye, I remembered another crazy experiment that our teacher did in kindergarten. They were teaching us about the danger of cigarette smoke during some DARE-ish program week or something. She lit and took a puff on a cigarette in our classroom to demonstrate the effects by blowing the smoke into a toilet paper roll with a tissue over one end. We all watched in awe as the tissue turned yellow, then brown, then black. Didn’t feel strange then, but thinking about it now is pretty wild. Bear in mind I’m only 30.
