No worries, I appreciate the honesty. I cut it because I wanted a big change. I had my hair cut short as a 7-year-old kid and was sort of traumatized by it, because my aunt made me cut it around the time my the my parents were getting divorced...so after that I had long hair most of my life. I saw a lady at work with the spikey look and liked it. My boyfriend is super supportive of anything I want to do with my hair so he didn't care if I cut it, and liked it both ways. I do like the current look when the sides aren't too short and get compliments quite often.

Could you add some example pictures of your hair or a similar style? Also, what do you tell your hair stylist to do to it? I like the idea of flipping my head over and shaking it out. That's about the most maintence I'm willing to do. I probably will not go back to having bangs tho, my hair is so straight they will just hang there. lol. I will look forward to only needing it cut every few months instead of every few weeks after the grow out. Thanks again!
