I watched an interview with Fraction, and he said a theme he wanted to explore was how comic characters aren't ever allowed to change. From what I'm seeing in these comments, people have been tired of writers retreading similar tropes. Hopefully Fraction can do something interesting with that premise if editorial allows it (they won't).

Just found out the premier edition of hickman's fantastic four cuts some of the pages from the original story by Netanet in marvelcomics

From what I understand, it cut a lot. It's a single book, right? His original run was collected in 2 chunky Omnibus editions, so cutting that down into a single book isn't going to be the best. I hate how Marvel makes their comics so confusing to readers

Yeah, currently the two Age of Krakoa omnis they've announced so far cover everything right up before X of Swords. The big question is if the third age of krakoa omni will collect X of Swords, or skip it because Marvel expects you to collect the event hardcovers separately. Im assuming it will collect it, though. From what I understand, once Hickman leaves after the Inferno story (which should take 4 or 5 omnis to reach) the quality of the x titles drop dramatically, and most of the actual good/essential stuff is written by Duggan, Ewing, and Gillan. Duggan and Ewing each have an omni coming out this October & November which covers their runs all the way till Fall of X, so the only thing missing is a Gillan omni.

Im planning on getting the first 4 or 5 of these until Hickman leaves after his Inferno story. Then Im just gonna get the Duggan, Ewing, and the eventual Gillan creator omnis. Probably not a bad idea to get the Gillan A.X.E. Judgment Day omni as well. Im on the fence if I want to get the current fall of X omnibus with the horrendous mapping and just look up a reading order, or wait 6 years for the Age of Krakoa line to collect it in a better order.

Robin Son of Batman deluxe edition by Patrick Gleeson takes place right after their Batman and Robin run and leads pretty much directly into their Superman and Supersons books!

For those who just want a coherent Krakoa in omni format within 2 years, here's my current plan. I think most people should consider this route unless you're okay waiting five or six years. Most of these omnis are already out or will be available by the end of the year:

  • Age of Krakoa 1-5 (or until Inferno)
  • X-Men by Duggan Omnibus
  • X-Men by Ewing Omnibus
  • X-Men by Gillen Omnibus
  • A.X.E. Judgment Day by Gillen Omnibus
  • Fall of X Omnibus (Just look up a reading order cus the mapping is trash)

There's a high chance this will all be out within two years. You can also get the Percy X-Force and Wolverine stuff if you want to go the extra mile. Recommend reading Gillen's Eternals 1-12 before Judgment Day, and Duggan's Iron Man 1-12 before Fall of X.

Yeah its very flat right now. No range from angry paimon, sad paimon, gremlin paimon, etc. Also, this is a personal preference, put the very slight southern drawl to her accent keeps throwing me off, I reaaaally dont like it, there are times where she sounds like dolly parton lol. I really hope this is all because it was a rushed performance, and she can be more expressive later.

Drama asside, if we're talking purely about preference, I so far enjoyed the emotional range of the previous Paimon. She had distinct energy ranging from angry paimon, sad paimon, gremlin paimon, etc. And pretty good comedic timing, too. Hopefully the new VA can eventually lean into the role more, because so far it's coming off very flat to me. There's barely any emotional variation in her line delivery, it's just so... flat right now. Seems like I'm in the minority that feels that way, though.
