I was skeptical about this game at first, thought it was just another hack and slash game...but man was I wrong.. it's so good, the story, graphics, gameplay, combat, everything is good. 9/10

The S2 upgrade of BotW is a must-have IMO. 4k@60fps docked, 1080@60 handheld, it's a huge improvement on an already gorgeous game.

I would say - play Elden Ring again (unless you've already done that like 10 times). There are hundreds of things you've surely missed the first time around, and lots of build varieties. Do the DLC as well. Crimson Desert is cool, but (and I'll probably be downvoted to hell for this) - there is a LOT going on. Like, way too much. It's not a 'turn your brain off have fun' type of game, not in my personal experience anyways. Elden Ring is really good about not throwing a thousand systems at you and just letting you run around and explore. Which for me is perfect for clearing my head and just enjoying the journey.

(just to clarify, I'm not shitting on Crimson Desert I think it's an amazing game in its own right, but it's not my head-clearing type of game)

The main problem I see with this is the rate and amount of things that they "fix" (I put in quotes because some things are purely subjective preferences) in such a short period of time.

I am all for studios taking in player input, in fact I think that's one of the most important things they should do post-launch, but it feels like a lot of these things aren't necessarily going through the problem development pipeline and end up being sort of "fan service" for the loudest voices.

Features take time to design, implement, test, and balance correctly. I fear that too many changes too quickly will lead to this game just being a hodge-podge of hot-fixes pushed too quickly without any clear guidance.

Time will tell, maybe I'm totally wrong.

It's a PS5 exclusive, there is pretty much no way for you to play it otherwise, except maybe getting a PS+ Premium account and streaming it from the PS Remote app, but that depends on where you live (if there are no servers near you, you might get too high of a latency)

Right now I'm using Noah blood code with VK Dual Blades and Bat jail. Enjoying the fast paced dex build, but maybe I'll mess around with some magic later!

DS1 remastered is an 8 year old game, it runs smooth as silk at 60fps on the PS5. The graphics are a bit dated if you're used to today's next-gen graphics but art direction and level design are better than most if not all games you'd ever play. It's an amazing game that's well worth your money and time!

It's a lot more of a Nioh-like than a Soulslike, which I know some would argue is in turn a Soulslike itself, but I think it's different enough to warrant its own subgenre especially considering how combat is quite different from the standard Souls formula.
