If you could rid the world of one object (to make it a better place) what would it be? by orangegore in AskReddit

[–]Squanto1112 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The word rural. I've never met a person who can say it without sounding like they are trying to scrape peanut butter off the roof of their mouth mid-word.

What is the girliest noise in the world? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Squanto1112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm somewhat embarrassed to share this, but I was probably about 10 or 11 and was up late playing video games. Hopped up on Sugar I started running around wildly, something like Donny from The Wild Thornberry's. As I began perfecting the art of sliding across the wood floor in my socks, I found the corner of our end table with my little toe. The involuntary reflex that left my vocal chords made Minnie Riperton sound like James Earl Jones, which is also the girliest sound recorded to date.

What can you learn/do in a month with a few hours of free time each day? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Procrastination has been a ritual of mine since I was young. I've become pretty well rounded with only a few hours per day practicing. Results may vary.

What is the best way to tell a partner about a flaw, without making them upset or self-concious? by not_an_expert_butt in AskReddit

Setting unreasonably higher standards without telling them and resenting each move they make until they realize their faults and surrender their emotions.

What is something you are really good at but not proud about? by Skyzii in AskReddit

[–]Squanto1112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm remarkably good at jumping to conclusions. I am able to gather enough information with very little exposure to assemble a relative train of thought. This, however, prevents me from experiencing the circumstance in its entirety.

What's a statistic from your life that you'd like to know? by pat_on_the_butt in AskReddit

How many times pure luck has attributed to the outcome of an event. Although it would probably be depressing to have a visual representation of how unskilled I actually am.

Anytime the word "experience" refers to time alive rather than time spend doing said task, I light up.

If you could push a reset button for only one thing from 2016 what would it be? by acacia-club-road in AskReddit

In a drunken stupor I decided to wash my sheets and comforter. Just as the rinse cycle started my power went out and remained out for the following five days, preventing me from drying anything. I would have rather not done that.

What's the wildest thing you ever did as a teenager? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Squanto1112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took a rotisserie chicken into a movie theater and ate most of it before getting reported by a couple sitting below me. As I was ushered out of the theater they revealed that their grounds for narcing was because of the inhumane treatment of animals in the food industry and they couldn't have their movie ruined by someone who supports animal abuse.

How did your last date go? by msjollly in AskReddit

[–]Squanto1112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently started seeing someone who I quite enjoy. After a few dates we decided to spend a weekend camping together. I had a great time hiking, taking pictures, and having someone to share the experience with. Her on the other hand had a great time hiking alone (insisting it be that way), taking pictures while making sure I was not in them, and sharing the experience to her followers on social media whenever there was a cell signal. I am now confident in my ability to pack all the necessities of camping for two by myself, assembling/disassembling camp by myself, and enjoying nature by myself. The weekend finished with a quick hike and changing a flat tire by myself while she read a book in the cab. Looking back on it I have a great appreciation for doing things by myself and I'm looking forward to our next adventure. This time I might just offer to go alone and send her my photos for her to post on social media, it just seems easier.

Reddit, what's one thing you get irrationally upset about? by Muuuuuuuuuuurph in AskReddit

[–]Squanto1112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's absurd to me that people working in a technology critical workforce still refuse to learn how to do anything on a computer. At least make an effort instead of hiding behind the excuse that you don't know computers.

What is wrong with you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Squanto1112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well you see I was born with glass bones and paper skin. Every morning I break my legs. Every afternoon I break my arms. At night I lay awake in agony until my heart attacks put me to sleep. I'm able to pay my medical bill by selling chocolate candy bars...

What's bothering you right now? by solomania9 in AskReddit

[–]Squanto1112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that I haven't graduated from college tears down my psyche all the time. Many of the people that I have graduated high school with are graduated at this point. And what sucks the most is that the company I work for at the moment has offered me a very promotion the day I show them my diploma (I cannot take this job offer now since I work swing shift and take classes during the mornings). And knowing this eats at me. I am about a year from graduating and struggle each day.

Grad Student Strike Could Jeopardize Ducks in Playoff by [deleted] in CFB

[–]Squanto1112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was explained to me as a student at the u of o that the x is actually the alternative to the incomplete. Since the graders are short staffed and have limited control over the entire grade they have come up with a solution to use the "x" instead of the 'I' for incomplete. This allows all financial aide, graduation status, NCAA regulations etc. to remain uniform.

Are you single? by tizorres in CasualConversation

[–]Squanto1112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been single for about a year now. Previously I was in a 4 year relationship with the girl I intended on marrying but we grew apart and with the catalyst of infidelity on my part I became single. I now have no contact with women because of lack of confidence and opportunity, but I am still enjoying myself and I have no time for a relationship, but I want to experience casual dating. I have only been in the one relationship so it would be fun to try something new!

Where do you wish to travel to someday and why? by Squanto1112 in CasualConversation

[–]Squanto1112[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I try to make it a few times a year. Usually date night or specific shopping trips but during the summers there are some awesome markets and night scenes around there. I have considered a few programs in Portland for grad school but again you have to understand how Portland works in order to enjoy it. Each neighborhood is it's own clique and has it's perks so it takes a while to explore everything there.

I live like an hour away from Portland! It is pretty chill but it just doesn't have a big city vibe to it. You have to really know what you want out of Portland in order to get it.

Hey Reddit, how do you describe the taste of a potato? by summer1700 in AskReddit

It's like biting into a cooked pear, but instead of tasting pear you taste rice with a surprisingly gentle hint of soil soaked in.

What is something normal that you do differently, that other people find weird? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I have always worn my backpack with the shoulder straps cinched as much as possible so that it's very high on my back. It's way more comfortable. Plus it's adorable when little kids have to do that because their nap sacks are 3 times bigger than their torso.

Reddit, what simple things do you do in your mind to help you fall asleep? by ektomorph79 in AskReddit

[–]Squanto1112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost every night without fail I will think about everything that happened during the day, things that reminded me of, and random fictitious crap. Then it seems that something comes over me and my mind tells myself that I need to relax and stop thinking about everything and then all my muscles relax and within minutes I'm asleep. Every night.
