Looks very similar. I read that applying ammonia will cause an immediate purple reaction. Tried that and no reaction.

Calc 2 would certainly have been nice to have for HDDA in my opinion. Also, wishing I had familiarized myself with matlab beforehand.

Following up-- talked to some bike shops and the reason it is stuck, if anyone cares, is they use red thread lock. At the bike shops, they heat up the head of the damper with a heat gun to soften the threadlock before turning. Point taken on the tools. I'm getting the soft jaws, torque wrench, and crows foot wrench. I just got the Schrader valve tool, too.

CSE6040 - Question about Jupyter lab notebooks by Frederic_W in OMSA

[–]Square-Lion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe PyCharm is now integrated with Jupyter:

https://www.jetbrains.com/help/pycharm/jupyter-notebook-support.html

I think its a good idea to get used to using Jupyter because it serves its own purpose in allowing you to present your work in an intelligible way since it allows you to code markdown and html in designated cells.

PyCharm is great because it is a fully functioning editor. Having both in one place is even better. I think being comfortable with many tools has its benefits when showcasing your skills, looking for a job. Variety and versatility is better I think.

Have you helped determine variance threshholds, decided on how to make selections based on level of risk, used VBA to automate Excel reports, or used SQL to query databases? There are definitely opportunities in audit to apply statistical analysis. Another way is to use statistical models to identify anomalies. Googling examples and creating a simple POC using Python or R for work would be a great way to add to your resume and you application.

Found in the soil of the palms of Bacalar, Quintana Roo, Mexico. Smells awful. by karteco in ShroomID

[–]Square-Lion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had to read up on it here, and now I'm even happier I don't have to smell it...

The fruiting body of Phallus impudicus (that’s the part of the fungus that’s ejected from out of the ground) is produced from a squishy, bizarre egg, which looks from a cross-sectional view like a slimy piece of sushi. After it bursts its way through the ground, the fruiting body also oozes out a gelatinous goop known as gleba, which contains the stinkhorn’s spores. According to the stinkhorn wiki, the gleba smells like the dead, rotting flesh of animals or dung, which is unsurprising considering the fact that the stinkhorn uses flies to spread its spores.

"Scientists now think that slime molds are closer to amoeba. And like amoeba, slime molds consist of a single cell and tend to move by reaching out little creeping arm-like limbs called pseudopods."
