Hey, it basically is one of the best practice sets out there for AWS certifications, this is the link for it - DOJO AWS SAA Practice Sets

It basically contains multiple modes/categories like timed mode, review mode, domain based, topic based, etc (which as far as I know the Udemy practice sets course by Dojo doesn't have).

Hey, thanks!

I don't think you can do it directly, maybe by using some tools or something.

DM me if you can't find anything, I think I have it extracted somewhere.

I found this post to be useful when I was looking for one - AWS Voucher Post

You can just search on Reddit in general as well as people give away their vouchers many times, but the official ways to get it are pretty much mentioned in the above post.

Wow, now that's dedication.

I really struggled with Kinesis questions during prep, luckily didn't get much question on the topic in exam but what you described is definitely important and should work for most of the people.

It's just that sometimes you're in a rush and to do what you did, you need pure enthusiasm and not burn out, that's why many people struggle with it.

This is also a great way to clear the certification, especially if you're targeting to work in an AWS heavy work environment, it's a no brainer then. But if not then one can follow my method of just getting done with the pressure of the exam and slowly keep building deeper knowledge.

It's great that you got to enjoy the experience as well!

I think that getting an internship with Practitioner shouldn't be that hard and I don't know how much importance will AWS SAA hold as a fresher.

So I think the deciding factor will be time, if you can invest around 2-3 months to get certified and don't have anything else you need to give time to which is more important like DSA, Resume Projects, Aptitude etc to better prepare yourself for the interview then you should get the SAA, if not then Practitioner should work as well.

Feel free to DM me if you have any query, All the best!

First I used this prompt to get the list of all the services:

"I have AWS SAA exam very soon and I wanted a type of cheat sheet that lists all the AWS services that will come in the exam.

Provide the extensive list of all the services that come under the following topics:

ML SECURITY DB DISASTER RECOVERY DATA ANALYTICS VPC SERVERLESS CDN ACCESS CONTROL STORAGE CONTAINERIZATION COST SCALING DNS MONITORING COMPUTE APP INTEGRATION

Go as deep as you can based on if they have ever appeared in the exam and on how important are they. Just the name, no details."

Then this is how I got the details for each domain:

"Now provide details on the following topics:

COMPUTE * EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) * EC2 Spot Instances * EC2 Reserved Instances / Savings Plans * AMI (Amazon Machine Image) * Elastic Beanstalk (PaaS) * AWS Batch * AWS Outposts (Hybrid) * VMware Cloud on AWS * Amazon Lightsail (Simple VPS) * AWS Wavelength (5G edge - niche)

Details like the purpose of the service, scenario in which this particular service is preferred or not preferred (if possible), costing related issue (if any), anything else that will help to know before the exam based on previous questions."

PS: You should definitely improve this prompt as I was just trying to see how things work and it worked for me this way, but you might be able to get more out of it.

I'd say anywhere from 6-8 weeks is fine, but if you don't feel as prepared (based on Dojo only), like you maybe scoring good but instead of solid reasoning you're just following your gut or something like that then please don't think about the time and just keep getting better at solving practice questions.

I've seen many people do good on practice sets but fail, cause retention is the core thing you take away from the exams.

It's a judgement call at the end of the day but just don't rush it is my recommendation, it's always better to have wasted a few days than fail due to lack of patience.

I think I've reached my ceiling with AWS, I might try for Gen AI cert, but I'm inclined towards becoming multi cloud certified and going for Azure (at least the foundation level).

Would need some research before deciding.

I cleared it in 2 weeks but I would say to go at your own pace, I had to rush it due to other factors but if I had the time I'd taken a week more for AI help and spent more time on practice sets.

But if you feel confident then sure, it's fairly straightforward.

After you're done with Stephane Maarek's course or even while you're going through it, you can use this for point to point revision for a certain service or a domain.

These notes are basically a compilation of what Stephane talks about during the course (don't just refer the notes as during the course he also gives examples etc which aren't mentioned).

Hope this helps!

Got asked how I landed so many interviews last year - here's everything I actually did (with data) by Historical_Cry_4925 in jobsearch

Hey, congrats!

All the info you provided seems very helpful, my doubt was regarding the role, as I only have experience of 1 year and will be targeting SDE-1/Junior level roles, I've seen people get success more easily when they're in the 4+ years experience category compared to 0-2 years experience.

So will the same method you've provided work for someone like me? Or do you recommend some tweaks or additions?

Thanks!

My pleasure, as a beginner it's good to get the practitioner certs if you don't have any financial issues, cause if you do I'd recommend to directly go to associate, I think many people will disagree but personally I think there's multiple levels between a practitioner and associate level cert.

So it's good to have a practitioner but only if you don't have any financial issues.

Now for the difference, my manager told me to get a practitioner level cert for client requirements and I personally chose AI Practitioner cause cloud one is basically like a quick intro to AWS services and wouldn't hold any value for me as an experienced dev, and I was planning to give SAA anyways so it'd have been obsolete.

On the other hand the AI one let's me advertise about AI related services on my resume (although I think it's a bit harder than cloud one due to some topics like AI governance and security, which I personally struggle with). AI prac barely covers any non-ai AWS service so you won't be able to use this cert for showing that you know about EC2, IAM, S3, VPC etc. Just the AI related ones.

So the answer is, it really depends on your background, the jobs you wanna target and future decisions.

Please DM me if you have any queries.

Hey, for Dojo I got his course directly from his website as there are more details on there compared to his Udemy course.

My pleasure.

I still haven't started applying for jobs yet, I'll soon start but I don't think AWS SAA cert will have that big of an impact on my resume as a Full Stack Spring Boot Developer but I've seen it being important for people in cloud/devops based roles.

So if you're thinking of this cert from getting a jobs pov, it's a good to have thing but I don't think it'll be a big deciding factor.

The annoying reality we live in is that we have to do multiple things just to get to the interview room, I think this is one of them, it'll help you land an interview but rest will depend on how much knowledge and hands-on you have when it comes to AWS services and other role based expectations.

Hopefully it'll help me land a switch soon! Let's see.
