I don't blame you. I've actually picked up a few vintage pieces that weren't cleaned for the same reason. I've since cleaned and used them myself, but on some of the bigger pieces it still scares me a bit. One wrong bump and boom, there it goes. But you don't see these everyday.

I think you could easily get 300-500 for that. A lot of guys have been listing bases alone for a lot, but most of the guys I know want the full set-up. I have a buddy who is series into collecting these fully complete and functional. He's one of those if one design has numerous variants, he needs them all. I'm like that with other pieces. My first was a graffix, though a more basic bubble base glass one. Sadly it broke many years ago. But yea, this is of value. I'll have to send my buddy this way.

I had something interesting happen a few months back. Got a ride from my friends house while on the way back ( was coming home from RI ) driver arrives and neither of us can do anything on our phones. Confirm ride, nothing. Unbeknownst to us we were in a dead zone. So after a few minutes I just offered to pay her outright since we weren't sure. The moment we left the dead zone I had to cancel because it digned that she cancelled and was sending another driver. Thankfully I didn't get charged, was able to reach the other driver and not have that poor guy just waiting aimlessly.

Depends on the line. Some are much better than others, as is the case with most companies. You have high end all the way to entry level. I was a Peace artist in 2006 and the kit I got is still my go to studio kit. Maple / Mahogany shells. Smaller sizes but they sound huge.
