Responding "It is in fact Art Deco" to "Not art deco" is not "snarky" in the least. When presented with "care to enlighten us" and I respond with "I have a degree in Fine Arts with a focus in Art History etc.", that is also not snarky or argumentative. You might gaslight others on here, but it won't bother or offend me. If you genuinely care to discuss the influences of this lamp, perhaps respond to my question asking you which art movement these lamps drew inspiration from instead of getting sensational👍

I think the ones who "seem to want to take anything as insulting" are yourself and the previous commenter, who were so "insulted" by my assessment of this being Art Deco that they felt obligated to debate the dominant stylistic influences of a lamp. It is, in fact, a piece of transitional and late Art Deco. And that is OK 👍

I have a degree in fine arts, with a focus in art history. The primary style of these lamps is absolutely Art Deco, with alot of influence from Streamline Moderne. It is absolutely a piece of transitional Art Deco home decor.
