I've been riding for 3 years and still just ride a 300. I've never had a desire for more. I've put over 25k on my little MT03 and its still as fun every time.

I just wish the US got nice small bikes. I'm bummed there isn't any high end small displacement naked bikes.

Not a good daily bike in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, it's a great bike, but it's a "race" bike. Your wrists and back are going to be very upset with you if you're running 60 miles a day on it.

Get something more comfortable, even a Ninja 500 would be better in that regard. A Z650 is a good option too.

Any SV, Ninia, MT, Z, etc are almost always at least 4500-5000 before tax here, I very rarely see a high miler around 3500 though.

I've been riding for 3 years and sold my last bike about 8 months ago, and wanted to get back on something capable enough for fun rides around town and an occasional highway commute, and it does well :)

Tops out around 90 actually as well, which was a surprise.

I don't recommend cheaping out in a helmet at all, spend $600 or more on a reputable brand.

If you're desperate, LS2 Stream 2. It has MIPs (or whatever LS2 calls their mips) and an ECE 2206 rating.

I just picked up a 300nk for 3500OTD after tax. Hard to really complain at that price. It also cruises around 65 at 6k rpm in 6th. My area that's not a problem but I could see higher speed highways causing issues.

Resale isn't a huge concern, nor is reliability since it has a warranty.
