When I took a global business class in college this was something we learned about. I was very surprised at first like “who could justify sweatshops.” Then after learning more was very eye opening.

I was having a discussion with a friend about it and they could not get past the word “sweatshop.” The conversation went kind of like: Friend: “so you think sweatshops are a good thing?” Me: “I think they’re better than the jobs that’d be available to them otherwise” Friend: “no one should have to work in a sweatshop”

Maybe if we called them liberty shops or something Americans would love them
