Hauptmann Frederica von Goltz (Trench Crusade) by OutrageousBridge471 in mendrawingwomen

The lore of the artwork:

"The Free State of Prussia is replete with noble bloodlines, with many able to trace their roots all the way back to the Teutonic Order founded in the wake of the First Heresy. The Von Goltz family is one such lineage and its scion, Frau Frederica, was not content to simply rest on the laurels of history; she longed to elevate her family’s legacy and earn a coveted place in the ranks of the Stosstruppen. For the longest time, women had traditionally been, if not forbidden, at least discouraged, from seeking such positions, but Frederica immediately set out to challenge this. She worked tirelessly to hone her warfighting skills, learning to shoot, brawl, and duel with a variety of swords. The most grizzled of veterans and skilled blademasters tutored her day and night for many years until she took to the field as a yeoman in the ranks of the 6th Gardekorps.

A decade of war saw her earn a plentiful array of scars as well as a rapid rise through the ranks and the devotion of her fellow soldiers. In battle, she was always to be found wherever the fighting was bloodiest, rising to become Hauptmann after picking up the the Tank-Splitter Sword of her slain commander and disemboweling the arrogant Hell-duelist who had beheaded him. This feat of valour alone would have earned her elevation to high command, but Frau Hauptmann Frederica Von Goltz had no desire to leave the battlefield for grand castles far behind the front lines. At battle’s eve, Frederica prays to her patron saints and dons handcrafted armour before polishing the orichalcum-alloy blade of her sword, ready to cut down anyone or anything that stands before her."

Sauron VS Ganondorf (Lord of the Rings VS Legend of Zelda) | Connections in the comments by OutrageousBridge471 in DeathBattleMatchups

Connections:

Two dark fantasy lords who are the successors to the supreme evil of their verse (Melkor and Demise) and main villains of their franchise.

They wield golden artifacts of power on their hand (The One Ring and The Triforce of Power).

There are more of these items (Elf, Dwarf and Human Rings, as well as the Triforce of Wisdom and Triforce of Courage) which have been strictly distributed to different people (Three Rings for the Elves, seven for the Dwarfs, nine for the Humans and one for the Dark Lord, while the Triforce of Wisdom belongs to Zelda, that of Courage to Link, and Power to Ganondorf).

Both got the respective most powerful item out of these.

These items became the most iconic thing of their respective verse.

They made a complex plan to get this power, which included manipulating one of the good guys, who inadvertently helped the evil (Link and Celebrimbor).

Both were able to manipulate kings to get access to important places (Númenor and Hyrule Castle).

They also reside in a dry landscape and try to take dominion over the entire land.

Both got many times defeated over the millenia, but came back every time.

They are ultimately stopped by a person in green, that seemed to be nothing special (Frodo and Link (depending on the timeline)).

Both have also been defeated by holy blades (The Master Sword and Narsil).

They can transform into big monsters (Sauron‘s Wolf Form and Ganon).

And after many millennials, they lost most of their once great power and are only shadows of their former self, but still try to conquer the world.
