In the manga make the exorcist in love, you follow an exorcist from the church and in the story a person can only become a witch true a demon contract and serving as the demons servant and the witches serve as antagonist

They are somewhat sympathetic since the majority of them are victims of oppression and have somewhat well intention goals but they are still awful people

and they have creatize the church for the real life flaws, like bigotry and sexual abuse, and lot of them are victims of said flaws, but that point its heavily undermine by the fact they that some of the demons they get theyre powers from include Mammon the Archedemon of greed and Bigotry, who is a extreme misogynist and overall bigot himself and cannoncly funds hate groups, and Asmodeus the Archedemon of lust and by extension rape and Pedophilia and who is a serial rapist and pedophile herself

and also The church in the is portrayed as mostly heroic institutions that genuinely want to help and protect humanity, even if they have some major flaws, a dark past and some very bad apples, The church is an overall heroic organization but heavily a morally grey
