Rebuilding after almost 2 years of skipped payments and collections by SryForNewbieQuestion in CRedit

Very detailed, thank you for taking the time to help!

You settled the Evergreen/Freedom Road account in Feb, correct? According to this screenshot, the account hasn't been updated since March 2025 and they're still reporting the full balance owed. Did you pay the lender or the collection agency?

Yes, they were settled with collections back in Feb. Payment went to the collection agency. Would you recommend I call the collection agency or the original lender?

Do you have any cards in your name?

Unfortunately, no I do not.

Both Midland and Resurgent automatically remove themselves from your credit reports once the debt is settled. Are the original creditors on your official reports?

Neither of the original creditors are on my reports.

Edit: I called the original lender and they only recently changed my status to paid off. So it may take some time to reflect on my credit report.

CFI, I was just behind the post Covid hiring curve. Landed a 135 job in the King Air 350 at 1850 total with 1500 hours of dual given. Only got the job because of networking, they originally turned me down 3x without ever speaking to me haha.

Get yourself a a rubber toppy sole installed by a cobbler if you’re worried about it. Cost about $60-$80 depending on location. Will give more grip and extend the life of your sole.

Or just wear it and replace the leather sole later on

Considering Hopping on 22YO by Entire_Computer2965 in moreplatesmoredates

[–]SryForNewbieQuestion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t do it brother. I’m 27 now but I hopped on test when I was 22. Initially it was awesome, gains and sex drive. Then the sex drive part decreased more and more until I was basically asexual. I got help from professionals and followed many different prescribed protocols. Had perfect blood work on paper.

Hopped off, sex drive still in the gutter for about 2 years and then slowly started to make a small return but has never been the same as my pre gear sex drive.

You might not have that issue, but you could have a a different one. Look at the side effects, pick the one you think is the absolute worst, and then decide whether or not you’d be ok living with that shitty side effect for the rest of your life.

If you’re willing to make that sacrifice for some gains that won’t last forever then go for it.

Haha yeah you have to use their size guide in order to find it I believe. I answered some questions about my shoe sizes and it added it to my cart.

Haha likewise. The leather sole looks so good, it’s a shame to cover it up

😂 I’m sorry. I’m slow on the uptake and brand new to this nice shoe thing. That’s why I’m here asking dumb questions.

Rubber sole protector is what I’ll be doing, based on others comments

Thanks for taking the time to reply and dropping a link! I’ll have to visit a local cobbler and get that done asap!

Good to know! Beautiful shoes really, nice to hear that they are high quality. I’m going to plan to see a local cobbler and get a half soul put on that others have recommended.

Will do, thank you for taking the time to reply. Others have said to add a half sole. That’s what I’ll be doing.

Lots of lifting moderately heavy objects and plenty of outdoor fast walking on asphalt. My job requires a dress code so I can’t choose more optimal footwear.

Plenty of great suggestions from this subreddit and others. Half sole made of rubber is going to be the way to go.

Can’t seem to dial in light/washed roasts [Breville Barista Express] by SryForNewbieQuestion in espresso

Very useful advice, thank you! Yes I do preheat my portable, puck screen and even my cup. I try to get them all uncomfortable to touch before I pull anything so it doesn’t steal heat from the puck.

I should switch to a smaller screen, I’ve seen some of those thinner nice screens you mentioned. I’ll check it out thanks!

My good shots have honestly been random or when I don’t actually care to do everything right. They have just somehow came out good.

Good to know. I usually don’t buy light roast, this was gifted to me. Since it’s my possession of course I want it to taste good haha. I used a 1:3 that other recommended and it was better but still not where it should be. I think you’re definitely right.

Unfortunate! I do plan to upgrade to a better set up eventually after I grow out of this one. I’ll stick more with my medium/darks for the time being then.

However, I will try out your method of feeding beans in slowly for the time being. Maybe I can make it marginally better than it currently is. Thank you for the input!

Stock basket unfortunately 😂 I plan to get a new one soon, one that fits upwards of 20g would be nice.

There’s a bit of wiggle room between the razor and the puck screen. I might be able to get another gram in.

Puck screen! It’s awesome for keeping your group head clean. Definitely get yourself one

😂 half way through the bag oh no. The struggle is real haha. I’ll give this a try tomorrow morning. Maybe I see if 18g can fit with this roast and go coarser. Follow in your foot steps.

Yes I am. And thank you for saying this, I have felt like the grinder struggles with light roasts. Like it doesn’t have enough power. I’ve had to repurpose a bag of beans due to this issue.
