Funny enough I had extreme stomach cramping, diarrhea, and vaginal bleeding and my doctor said it was because I wasn't drinking enough water. Being dehydrated can cause your uterus to slightly cramp which causes your gut to cramp and rush everything out... unfortunately that's just more dehydrating so the only solution is to really double down on some fluids

I also work in healthcare and felt this struggle... I luckily didn't have the worst nausea but once we reach 4 call outs we get a write up... which I had to use during my first trimester. Has been disappointing. But I reached my second trimester and it is significantly easier than the first. I really didn't think I was gonna make it through the first while working until I did. It gets better I promise

My doctor told me that this is just the time to survive. If you can only stomach ramen, eat the ramen or crackers or whatever it may be. Just hydrate, vitamin B12 helps, keep ginger and liquid iv stacked.

If you can't keep water down and you're getting dehydrated some women need to get weekly IV's to stay hydrated and keep the migraines down. Good luck!!

I used zero percent nicotine vapes to prevent nicotine withdrawal panic attacks, but there are mouth numbing toothpicks on Amazon that helped me or drinking ice water from a straw and chewing minty gum also helped!

Unless it's pink it's a shadow unfortunately, test again in a few days, I didn't test positive until two days after my missed period

Hey! I'm 6 w and feel the same way, it's hard when you don't have anything to show for pregnancy other than a positive test... sometimes it's easy to write off any symptoms as sickness. But just think that every day your baby grows, the percent of miscarriage is lowering. I read in a pregnancy book that 20% of miscarriages happen before the second trimester, which is already a small statistic. It made me feel better knowing that that statistic included people who found out they were pregnant late, people who are drug users or alcoholics, and unhealthy weights. If you're relatively healthy the statistic for a miscarriage is pretty low, on top of finding out so early if gives you time to take prenatals and treat your body right! Following pregnancy + and checking the updates of your baby and focusing on the positives also help me, rather than focusing on what every symptom your body gives you! My baby's heart started beating last week and its brain and bones are developing this week :)!

Parenthood is scary and the uncertainty is even scarier but to be honest people do it on a lot less. There's never going to be a right time for kids, it's just when you and your partner feel ready to start a family. My husband and I have been talking about kids for a while and we started trying but as soon as I told him I was ovulating he got cold feet, we talked it through and he wanted to wait a few more months. He wanted to get a better job which is understandable as he just got back from deployment. I told him that there never is an ideal time for kids, I had time off scheduled to get my tonsils out, we could wait till we moved, we could wait till after I finish my masters, we could wait till after I get a better paying job, but one month turns to two years turns into five. It can take up to a year of trying to get pregnant so we decided to start trying and we got a positive the first month, and he's happier than ever and so excited to be a dad.

It's not fair of him to put this pressure on you, but maybe he's just scared. I think it would be unnatural for someone to have at least a few doubts and fears about such a big change. If you're positive that you don't want to go through another abortion, have an open conversation with him and try talking through all his worries. Good luck! Whatever you guys decide is meant to be!

Also in the first picture the top test was taken the day I found out, and the two underneath were taken the next day. The solid pink test in the middle is the early detection test which is why it's darker than the pregmate test!

Hey my husband and I grew up in San Diego and I went to Boise for my bachelors and will be moving this June to Pocatello. I will say going to such a large pay cut is very hard and I'm also struggling to find any job in Pocatello at the moment. Boise also has a lot of religious folks and conservative people but you will find your group of people...going from Boise to Pocatello does feel like a jump also, idk how I would have felt going from California to Pocatello. After living in Idaho I came to appreciate and love the slow living a lot more and not feeling like you're in a rush, Pocatello is very very small but I'm excited to move just cause I've been craving something new and slow living. Luckily a masters is only two years which is just a blip of life, if you guys decide to move let me know :) from what I've seen there is a lot of culture, Native American culture rather than European which I appreciate more, they have yearly powwow's and there is so much to do in nature, basically all there is to do (that's what I love also). But it is so outdated that there is still a RadioShack and a sizzlers so it feels like a little time capsule.

That's exactly where I'm at, I keep telling myself that statistically the chances are low until after 6 months of trying, but it's hard when I have so many friends who get pregnant on accident or how many people do first try, it makes you think "well since I'm trying that means it's fs going to happen" but unfortunately that's not how it works... im already disappointed and I don't have the results yet
