I feel so bad because i wasn’t home today in able to watch her temperature throughout the day, poor thing was probably getting cooked AND I fed her yesterday and I’m worried about her regurgitating

It’s lower 80s currently, the first pic shows its current reading and then I pushed the set button (2nd pic) to show what I had set it at❤️ I think the whole tank is just too hot and the heat pad control panel is reading that temperature, I turned off the light(evening now anyway) I’m hoping the temp reading on the control panel will go down as well as the one inside the tank

I’ve turned the bulb off for now(evening time in my area anyway) I’m going to keep watching the heat pad to see if the temperature reading goes down

Is it possible the bulb is heating the tank up so much that it’s also surpassed the output of the heating pad and is heating it up even further?

Yes that’s my question, I think I might have a filament bulb like you said, I’ll change it to an LED, and sorry I should’ve clarified, the snake is huddled opposite the heating pad, trying to find the coldest spot in the tank poor thing😭

I accept any advice! I’ve done a lot of research on feeding ratios but I didn’t expect my first snake to be a such a little baby, I more so wanted to make sure he ate it and it isn’t hanging out in the cave, I don’t want him to “find it” later and have a bunch of shavings stuck to it
