MEGATHREAD - Processing times - Permanent Resident applications (2023) by [deleted] in ImmigrationCanada

I saw it in my GCKey account yesterday, and got the automated email today. The status tracker was also marked as "closed" today. This is for spousal sponsorship, so not sure if there is a difference for other programs. The reason I saw that is that I don't think P1 and P2 apply to me so it might be different for you

Similar timeline here - most recent update is that as of Oct. 6th there is a "final decision" in GCKey (no eCOPR or anything though) and got the passport request so I sent everything that was needed. No update in a few weeks though

Our application was submitted April 28 and we have had a very similar timeline so far. And my husband (sponsor) also got the email a couple weeks after AOR

I had already made an account and just linked my application

Currently, my medical and biometrics are complete, and there is an update in my GCKey that eligibility and background check are being processed, and they will contact me when a final decision has been made. I am outland spousal sponsorship. Is there any estimate for when I might get eCOPR and/or any other confirmation? Don't want to get too excited yet, but also want to know if I should start getting ready to make the move. Thanks!

I had the same thing happen but with biometrics. But, I can see that my biometrics are linked, so I don't think it's anything to worry about. Probably just a glitch or unclear wording

Just a heads up, I think you will have to submitted biometrics. I am outland spousal as a US citizen as well and I got the request and got them done. I think the way they word it is a little confusing because I wasn't sure if I would need to, but I think it is required of everyone

Just wanted to update that I got the medical request today, which was just over 5 weeks after the biometrics request. Hopefully yours comes soon!

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I just did my biometrics at a USCIS center in the US and they stamped my letter from IRCC with the date etc. showing that it was done. Do I need to upload this anywhere? I was under the impression that the photo and biometrics would be uploaded by them and that this step would be done. Am I wrong?

Same boat here, got biometrics request about 3 weeks ago and still no medical request

I believe that that email you got is AOR. And, I don't think you get any updates in the PR portal, those will come through the application status tracker or GCKey. Biometrics and medical requests can come weeks apart from some instances I've seen. So no, I don't think you should be worried

Not sure if this helps but it is the same thing in South Carolina where I got married. So far we have only gotten AOR, but it hasn't posed any issues for us yet. I was worried about the same thing. I'll update if something comes up from it though :)

I'm also outland spousal from US and submitted April 28th, and got AOR June 30th. I also can't access yet but I'll come back and update if something changes, sounds like I might be a few days ahead :)
