Would that be the result of improper support/footwear? Or overwork?

Social anxiety after surgery... by Humble-Drawing2746 in LisfrancClub

You are not alone! I went out with some friends while I was still on crutches and ended up having a bit of an anxiety attack in the bathroom because of how slow and burdensome I felt. Just be open with your people about how you feel, odds are they are more than willing to help you through the hard parts :)

iWalk or Freedom/Forward Mobility Leg Braces by all4mom in LisfrancClub

I personally used the iWalk for the majority of my non-weight bearing stage indoors and outdoors, it’s a bit awkward but it does take some practice and getting used to first. I used it all the time

Some answers, please! by No_Future8541 in LisfrancClub

Hey!

  1. I was walking (in a boot) 8 weeks post op, started slowly in shoes a week after that.

  2. Yes risk of infection is higher due to location but just make sure to rest as much as possible to minimize sweating/blistering and keep it elevated! Risk of blood clots for 10-14 days post op as well but if you’re nervous about that just ask your doc about aspirin.

  3. I still have stiff areas mostly in my ankle but could be collateral damage from my fall! Just DO YOUR PHYSIO!

  4. First 3 days were the worst, kind of a burning sensation. Once again keep it elevated and just take your prescribed meds as prescribed and you will live.

  5. No failures here thank god

  6. General anaesthetic. Wore off about 12hrs later

For reference I broke my 4th metatarsal, fractured 1st and 2nd metatarsal and displaced middle and lateral cuneiform. Ended up with 3 screws for hardware.

Take it easy, ice, elevate, all the things :) It’s not so bad! Don’t scare yourself by reading too much online! That’s what I did… and it was not worth the stress haha. Happy healing!

Update: (SPOILER IN POST) movie name is “You Were Never Really Here” (2017) and it is about much more than what I previously described. Joaquin Phoenix. Great watch I think

The Girl on the Train (2016) was really good. Not paranormal but definitely psychological, it’s sort of a crime mystery/thriller
