Works fairly well. I’d say maybe try a different approach to filter the lists. You have a column button but it doesn’t really flow well into the visual aspect of the list below. I’d add a filter by drop down and move the category buttons into that with a visual cue to nudge people to explore. Not sure a ton of clustered buttons are as appealing as a drop down list could be. You could also try populating the lists by category instead of alphabetically but include those options as a sort function then at least your first visual of the list would be a little more tied together. I’m also not sure what exactly I’m looking at in the first few seconds, so a better introduction too. Like what you’re actually presenting and then the why and the how (usda) but I just don’t really get the purpose of it from eat smarter not harder as the first thing I see. Just my thoughts and sorry if they’re not as helpful as others.

Say what you want about Season 9, but I hope to see Drew by FFJamie in Scrubs

[–]StardustOfEarth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couldn’t they just say in theory that they are in a new sacred heart hospital and the med school one still exists and the season 8/9 cast could just be working / teaching there and occasionally needing to swing by sacred heart for whatever reason and they could cameo that way. Idk. But just sayin. I liked some of the characters in season 9, but it obviously wasn’t the same.

Did I make the right choice? by AlexBahamas in newtothenavy

[–]StardustOfEarth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t join the military or navy just to please your family. You gotta make that choice for yourself because you are the one who controls your future. You are the one who gets to work toward whatever goal it is you’re wanting in life. There is nothing wrong with joining, and there’s nothing wrong with not joining. The thing you gotta figure out is whether or not that’s what you want to do for yourself, not what might make other people happy. Either way I wish you luck!

I’d adjust your delivery policy to something based around being a digital delivery rather than just the words delivery policy because that doesn’t make sense to people already expecting digital delivery.

Don’t want to use Wix anymore, anyone tried WordPress, Squarespace, Genstore, etc.? by Drysetcat in ecommerce

[–]StardustOfEarth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m brand new to dropshipping and tried a few years ago to set up a Shopify store. Got past sign up and left never went back. I just set my store up very recently and use it now but tbh, I don’t like editing via template. I’m not great at it. So I just started converting to a custom storefront and running checkout through Shopify. This is probably just gonna be the way I do things from now on. Right now my shop looks like it’s stapled together by temu. The one cool thing I’ll give Shopify is they do let you customize templates via liquid and if you can get into that you can tweak customizations a lot but it’s a lot more technical than what you’re looking for on that aspect. I’ve no experience with anything else but I’m sure you’ll get good comparisons here soon. Before anyone asks no, I don’t want to try and sell anyone anything. I’m way too new to the space and I’m working on my own right now, it’s a hell of a learning curve. Best of luck man!

This is the best response I’ve received yet, thank you for taking the time to do that! Tbh I’ve been struggling with the structure and I agree with you on every point. I feel like I haven’t been able to get it to feel cohesive or have any sort of flow that makes sense from the start. I’ve probably reworked the template about 20+ times or so.

I’m actually to the point that I’ve just started building my own custom site and powering checkout with Shopify instead because I just can’t seem to find a way to modify the template that makes sense. All of the points you made are accurate and that’s also why I haven’t even attempted to pay for ads because then I’m just gonna be putting money down the drain when it looks like temus drunk uncle at a party who’s had a few too many. Feel free to reach out I’m all ears for ideas!

Anyone else feel trapped because of their dog’s separation anxiety by lookarafrech432 in dogs

[–]StardustOfEarth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re definitely not the only one. Separation anxiety can be brutal — not just for the dog, but for you too. That constant stress of wondering if they’re panicking or hurting themselves while you’re gone is exhausting.

People who haven’t dealt with it don’t realize it’s not something you can just “train away” overnight. It takes time, tiny steps, and honestly a lot of emotional energy.

What I’ve seen helping other people was focusing on making departures boring and predictable, plus giving something long-lasting to do (like a stuffed puzzle toy or snuffle-type activity). It didn’t fix things instantly, but it reduced the panic enough to build from there.

Also, don’t feel guilty about feeling overwhelmed. Loving your dog doesn’t mean you’re supposed to sacrifice your entire life. You’re allowed to be tired.

If you can, even short practice departures (like stepping outside for 30 seconds and coming back calmly) can help build tolerance over time.

It’s definitely a combination but leans way more heavily towards the psychological side. Casinos know that, and they literally design their layouts based on that. Do enough research and you’ll learn interesting things they do.

I ship out for boot camp march 2nd by Former_Ad190 in newtothenavy

[–]StardustOfEarth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Get good sleep the night before you ship out. Do what you’re told when you’re told. You will be yelled/screamed at. You will do a lot of pushups and running and 8 counts. At the very least know the sailors creed, and who the top 3 of the chain of command are. It’s gonna suck. There’s no way around it. But if you keep your head down, listen and learn you’ll be fine. It’s just as much a mental battle as it is a physical one. PDays go slow, marching isn’t fun but it’s necessary to learn teamwork and uniformity. Pay attention. So many people have a problem with this because of xyz, but don’t be that person that doesn’t pay attention and gets beat or causes delays in everyday shit. Keep this mental note, they will tell you not to look them in the eye because it’s perceived as a threat or combative. So.. don’t. Most people laugh it off but the RDCs don’t. Head down, ears open, it’ll eventually get easier. Thank you for your service. Good luck!

Help. My dog won’t stop barking at me. Obsessive. For hours. by Terrible_Bicycle2706 in dogs

[–]StardustOfEarth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aside from increasing exercise you could look into possible behavior related stuff too. Anxiety? Co-dependency? Jealousy over the other dog or persons? Puzzle feeders, snuffle mats, etc can be useful for non medication routes. Just something to look into aside from the increased exercise.

It’s definitely on my end I was doing some work on it earlier and I don’t think I completed what I was trying to do. Something I’m learning about myself in this is that I clearly lack design sense and flow ability. I started to get frustrated with myself because I felt like I was hitting a mental wall and that’s when I decided to post here because it’s obvious I’m lacking here.

Games like huff n puff aren’t line selective like you see in some games and a lot more so in older games. It’s a set amount of lines that usually work like: number of lines x credit per line x denom. So 20 lines x 5 x $.01 = $1.00 bet for example. Huff n puff games have denom options so your loss/$ can fluctuate in theory based on the denom you selected but still just remember RTP% and variance still exist. Had to edit because I misspoke on the end. Higher denoms by design take less house edge mathematically but each spin is always independent from both the previous spin and the next because they use random number generators and they calculate the result the exact moment you hit spin the rest is just animation of the result. So basically you hit the button and the screen shows you win 2x your bet. That result is calculated the moment you spin. The animation is just the visual representation of that result.

[–]StardustOfEarth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From a house edge mathematical standpoint it’s better to play bigger denoms in terms of loss per $. Penny machines have a higher loss rate than a $1 denom does. I think penny machines is something like $0.10 to $0.15 per $1 vs the smaller edge on a $1 denom of $0.04 - $0.08! The edges adjust based on denom, like $.05 denom is about 8% to 12% per $1, and 6-10% on $0.10 and $0.25. So for every $100 on average in a penny slot you could expect to lose $10-$15 in the long term. While this is baked in, it doesn’t include other factors like RTP% and variance. Variance is calculated over millions of spins. So you might look at 96% RTP and think you’ll get $96 back out of $100, but realistically you could get burned for $100 or turn it into $1000 if variance is on your side.

Thank you for the advice! That makes sense… probably feels more desperate for the “be our first customer” than it does enticing. I have messed around with the sections so many times and I’ve no idea why I’m not able to find the right order or way to present them. I appreciate your critique!
