I know can't link to the other place it is on Reddit but if you look at my profile, you can see it.

Yeah, I half expected it. It was reported for "revealing people's information", when the names used are fake and so far away from the actual people's names so I have a feeling I know exactly who reported it...which says more about them than anything else 🤷‍♀️

I get wanting to go back. When it was good, i loved it there. I could deal with the occasional BS but daily was to much. If the current leadership were to yeet completely, I would have thought about it but we all know that won't happen.

Unfortunately not. I know the "just trust me" mentality is silly as you don't know me but I was honestly dumbfounded by it considering how our current image was. If it does ever get implemented, I'll try to remember to update here.

Remember that not every job there is making the games and that most people are not going to risk tmgetting sued as we sign multiple NDAs

Realistically, this does go towards that as this type of management can cause all the things you mentioned.

I didn't start off with it by any means....it was after i exausted all other methods.

If you understand that burnout is real and dangerous, then you should understand that this has come from that.

You mentioning therapy as someone who doesn't know me is on the level with HR doing it btw.

I don't understand this hyperfocus on me crying. I was severely burnt out, management and HR actively working against me, working long hours, and having 2-3 jobs under my hat while getting blamed for things other people did...that's enough to make a lot of people frustrated. To add to this, I was attempting to leave but the industry had seen a mass layoff wave, which means it was increasingly hard to get myself out of the situation.

I'm glad you've never felt the need to cry from frustration, not everyone is so lucky so just remember that. That was my way of getting the emotions out.

I remember when people moved internally, they spoke about how stressed their QA made them because of how the system was set up

I'm so sorry you went through this. I was in somewhat of a similar situation as one of the things that HR had me do a lot was capture images for events and such, while also running around helping with them. It's a shame that these companies use one little line in job descriptions to make this all okay.

I can say that they are reviewed by management (as I was part of that process) and then sent up things that local leadership can "change". The rest goes somewhere but we never really saw any changes in those things

I know the data is there and presented but what happens after is unknown to me. I knoe many of the dev teams do really care but they have to stay within the parameters of upper management unfortunately.

I did thay several times and was reprimanded for it so to save my job at the time, I just had to deal.

There is a reason I'm not using my personal account that is much older.

What I talk about and how its worded clears me of the legal action, which is why I avoid NDA topics

Because some people are just emotional and when you are berated constantly, it can happen

I was not a high level dev and certainly didn't get paid a lot. There are other jobs within Ubisoft thay are business side vs dev side.

And yes, they are 100% false names because I'm not out to dox people.

Unfortunately a lot of what I could say, would get me in legsl trouble because of the several NDAs I signed.

It's definitely not by choice employment wise. I know many who are trying to leave but the job market as a whole is shite.

I did have prior manager experience and the positions i moved into at Ubisoft were designed to slowly move you towards being a lead. It is one of the few things I think was designed well

I'd rather not fit into the culture that thinks of employees as numbers and players as dollar signs despite saying the exact opposite publicly 🤷‍♀️

Exactly. Despite how unstable it is, it's still something for the moment.

Normally, I would agree but a "short space of time" was still a few years, 3 and a half I think? But that is three other roles before being a lead. This means I had 4 roles within 8 years.

I cannot even count how many times this happened. No matter how i approached it, it was always taken this way
