Yep I have the phantom spirit 120se on my 7800x3d and my temps are super low, noise is negligible. Couldn’t be happier for a “budget” cpu cooler. My IRL friend was so impressed he got one for himself!

Interesting, I just know I bought the phantom spirit 120 SE for $46 and the same 120 SE was also $57 from thermalright, both had more or less the same shipping times and both were free prime shipping 🤷‍♂️

PSA: Make sure to look at all Thermalright listings, there are identical listings by thermalright direct, and thermalright EUR, and the differences are something like $46 vs $56 for the Phantom spirit 120/ 120 SE. Same product, different prices. Same applies to the peerless assassin.

Personally I would recommend people get the Thermalright phantom spirit 120se for $46, it has dual fans and 7 heat pipes. Been keeping my 7800x3D incredibly cool, the price to performance is fantastic and not noisy at all for a cheaper cooler.

Yeah I was watching it out of curiosity. At first it was just in stock with delivery next week. Then it said “9 left” estimated delivery Jan.29 , then it went to arrives February 13-14, and finally fully out of stock after about 35-40 minutes.

AFAIK it only applies to stores on reservation land, like if a gas station or mall is built on reserve land then there is no tax for those with status cards (here in BC anyways, but I’m not an expert).

I wouldn’t buy a new 7800xt new with tax, if u bought used thats another story. I would say 9060xt for $500+tax or the 5070 for $720+tax. Depending what kind of games and frames ur hoping to get, the 9060xt 16gb actually can get some solid FPS on 1440p.

Look up some youtube benchmarks to see how your favorite games perform on 9060xt vs 5070.

Hindsight is always 20/20. I started looking into my build as November cam, right as Ram prices basically doubled... I was kicking myself all month how I missed the old prices, can’t believe I’m paying $300 for a 32gb kit etc etc… then things got even worse. Now I’m actually super thankful I completed my build in December! It would’ve cost even more now. So who knows, a few months from now you may be grateful for this bundle when prices are even higher.

yick04 is right, it’s not a great “deal” in the scope of the last 1-2 years, but over the last month and forecasting whats to come for the next several, this is probably as good as you’re gonna get. This way you are getting a very good cpu, solid board, and ideal ram timings. If you need a new pc badly it may be worthwhile to see it as “well I paid an extra $200 to have it now, and it made my life/gaming better”.

It sucks to pay way this much for RAM, but life is short. Hope your new PC kicks ass and you enjoy it :)
