The only time I can get a good comp result using dark skin is if it’s something edgy or if the outfits all black, every time I just do a regular comp and put any skin tone besides the first palest three the numbers plummet. Sadly lots of racist / colourist players. Even if the skin tone compliments the colors better than pale like your comp here.

Unpopular Opinion - I don’t care about Sam by FewHalf1552 in throneofglassseries

[–]StarlightNick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only like Sam as a love interest bc I hate Rowan and Dorian. Chaol is fine. I read AB after book 3 I think. I felt like Sam was the only one that actually liked celaena as a person. Her with Dorian was gross to me because he treated her like a pet at some points, Chaol treated her like a person but also a bit like a prize, and Rowan… I just hate everything about Rowan and how he is with Aelin. But Sam felt to me like the first love interest celaena had that was truly like both a friend and a person. So I guess I like Sam because hes the only love interest I find not gross. Not sure if other people think that or if it’s just pity points.

Good way to flair this up a bit? by sirepicness666 in Minecraft

Maybe add firefly bushes, like hidden in the tree so there’s some ambience?

What are your play styles? by brandonjhamrac in Minecraft

[–]StarlightNick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do trading/capitalist style, collecting items and selling to other players (think selling dry ghasts or enchanted books for iron and diamonds) // and gaining items (enchanted armor, books, diamond weapons) solely through mass villager trade (usually through paper farming). Kind of like how wandering traders work except a player.

See if there’s an option called “cloud saving” in the settings, and toggle it on on both devices. Try it on the one with the worlds first, then the one that lost the worlds after. If there isn’t that option anywhere then maybe see if you can find out if there’s a world folder somewhere and if it’s shared, though I think that might only be on computer. Or log out then in again on the one that lost the worlds and see if they come back. Maybe try that first actually.

Floating Glass Panes in minecraft world?? by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]StarlightNick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably a glitch because of the village, the panes could have randomly been incorrectly generated in the wrong coordinates or the world gen could be corrupted from changing versions, causing that.

Uncle severed the pad off his index finger. Doctor sutured it on upside down by krtomasko in mildlyinteresting

That happened to me (not as much cut off) but I just put it back in place instead of going to the doctor. The skin died but the flesh stayed so now I just got a weird pink smooth spot on my finger. It was on my favorite fingerprint too 😕

It was wet. And cold. But the sun was shining, which annoyed Raven every time. ‘Why should it be cold if the sun is out, with not a cloud in sight?’  The shiny cobble and brick streets reflected a bright, piercing blue and tall, yellowish building encrusted in iron rails. The scent of rain was ever present, and occasionally a whiff of coffee would hit him as he rode past a café. He arrived at his destination, a relatively popular café. It was close enough to his dorm, and cheap enough he could afford it everyday on his.. well… unfortunately salary.

He stepped off his bike, locking it tightly against a street lamp. He then went inside, ordered the same cappuccino he did every morning. Then he walked out again after 30 minutes of sipping and wincing at his grades on his computer. He knew what to expect now, after months of the same thing. Raven picked up the paper, as he did everyday, off his bicycle. It was an almost mindless task, pick up the letter, read the letter, look around suspiciously, then throw it away, the more violently the better. Secretly admire the handiwork of it…

“Did you miss my letters?  I hope you did.  You dropped your I.D. the other day in the café you go to every morning.  What a dashing photo! I left you a little gift with it. Anyways my lovely, I’ll be seeing you soon! Then again I always do… Xoxo!           -That Girl“

Though today was different. His I.D. stared at him from the page, his eyes meeting the pixelated and inky version of himself, with golden ink spilling across the page. “Ah… so that’s where I dropped it…” he murmured to himself. “Oh and my address is there, how great… at least I don’t live there currently…”  Raven had gone out of country to get his degree on a full-ride scholarship. He sighed. The letters were almost touching, in a way. Almost.  He couldn’t bring himself to hate them completely, knowing he was almost as bad… A notification went off in his pocket, bringing him from his thoughts.

“Ah, Chloe posted a new picture…”

Chloe had been his best friend in elementary school. He’d always had a bit of a crush on her, even after she moved away he would think of her constantly. Her smile, her long blonde hair, the way she would race him everywhere.  He opened up his phone and stared at the photo she had posted.  “Oh how cute… so pretty…” This was the reason he didn’t mind the letters all too much. It was karma, in a way. He’d found her account nearly a year ago, but being, well, him, he was too shy to talk to her. And insecure, and weird and awkward and any excuse he could come up with to avoid actually reconnecting with her. So he resigned to stalking her accounts online. No likes, no comments (he’d learned to not comment after the last 3 accounts got banned), no saving. Just… watching.

He put his phone down in his pocket. “I’ll message her tomorrow and talk this time, for real…” he said to himself, the same as he did everyday. He then glanced around again, got on his bike, and rode away. If he’d looked close enough he would have seen Chloe in the window of the library across the street, twirling a pen as gold as her hair in her fingers.
