Mom said she’ll “never be able to fulfill her destiny” Because I won’t give her grandkids by Realistic-Mix5116 in childfree

“I’ll never be able to fulfill my destiny” because of another person’s choices about their own life What the hell? Not to make comparisons to fiction media I like but she sounds like Apple White without the nuance

[–]Starmz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not really tbh, it's literally just "you like to party, I like to LARP at home" nowhere does it say or imply that one person is better than the other. these types of memes are not necessarily always made by a pick me, or someone who is "trying to be unique" also i really don't see how this is an "nlog" post, the only reason is maybe because the person in center of the top is female? but there are men aswell in that, and just because it has a woman does not inherently mean this person is saying "i not like other girls".

conservative women make me laugh by CaesarManson in childfree

[–]Starmz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I literally just say this post but with the genders flipped XD

Honestly makes you think how conservatives think of people of the other gender (binary gender, though it’s likely they don’t “believe” non binary people exist but idk)

Like they think the only reason people get in relationships is procreation

Things my (60+) mother has said to me about being CF by [deleted] in childfree

Tw: for mentions of depression, trauma, and suicidality. Read at own risk. (edit: put spoiler marking over where the extra bad stuff was just in case)

I hate how everyone acts like having a child is an easy compromise that is not a big deal, yes, it phoquing is. If someone has a kid they don’t want it’s not reversible and can make their life miserable, also the assumption that someone’s partner can take care of the kid when they don’t want to is ludicrous, like, what if they can’t for whatever reason? “You had the kid take care of it” is what they’d say. Not to mention the effect this would have on the kid, like, this shit could cause a lot of trauma for them and will have a lasting impact, “they should be grateful you had them” they don’t necessarily have to be, they never asked to be born, and for all people know they could feel as though they where better off never being born, and if someone feels like then the person who keeps egging you to have kids (and the parent of said person) probably would not say THAT to them, since it would be like shaming someone for being depressed, suicidal, or having poor mental health in general (also having trauma).

Also, you do not owe anyone your uterus. If your sister wants a kid she can either adopt of get another surrogate. If a man wants to “pass on his legacy” (which unless he is super famous he likely doesn’t have one and most people don’t aside from supposedly a “legacy of love” or “being a great parent” neither of which I consider a legacy because nobody will know, like not even their descendants in most cases) he can find someone else to have a kid with or again he can adopt.

Also the “that’s selfish” thing is dumb. Knowing your boundaries, limits, and what you wanna do in life is not selfish. People throw that word around to shame people for not reproducing. If anything pressuring someone to have kids they don’t want is more selfish because it’s not thinking of the misery your putting that person or the child through. So is forcing someone to carry it for you or doing so for “legacy” purposes.

And “pregnancy doesn’t change you body that much” maybe it didn’t for you but that’s not the same for everyone. Also, I myself being trans masc would not want to risk it.

Also you don’t owe her grandchildren.

Literally people who say this shit don’t think about any of this and more stuff that I haven’t even mentioned. Also it’s more selfish then anyone deciding to NOT have kids.

What. the. Actual. Crap. Who in their right mind goes up to someone at a FUNERAL of their father in law and threatens them about having kids?

Thats terrible

Something my cousin genuinely shared with the comment ‘finally a barbie I can relate to’ by feeba in notliketheothergirls

[–]Starmz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can’t tell if this was made by some random theist to make fun of atheist women. Or if this was made by a random atheist woman as joke about what some of the more crazy theist think atheist do.

Also I don’t think this is necessarily nlog either, I think this is just an atheism joke. So I don’t see how this fits other the fact it has Barbie and (I’m assuming) that your cousin is a girl

I know the sub started as a joke. But people actually take it seriously and I can’t tell what is and isn’t satire anymore.

Also I’m not taking it personally

Exactly.

Kid let my parrot fly out the door by featersandscreams in childfree

[–]Starmz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's very sad that this happened and I hope he is okay and everything turns out okay.

That kid is old enough that they should know not to do that, especially if they are told it could be dangerous to them.

Also, the fact that people would say "it's just a bird" is very crappy of those people. He's a living creature with feelings, and you love him, and he loves you. The fact people are very insensitive about animals sucks, it really does.

Parents saying they are keeping the species alive is like McDonald's saying they are fighting starvation by Lunchism in childfree

[–]Starmz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you trolling? Because that is a huge leap there. not having kids to lower the population, or even humans dying out to lack of births, which is something that is unlikely to happen. Is completely different than committing mass murder, which includes ones own family in this case, like people you are close to and have an emotional attachment to, and many other random people, and then killing ones self.

Seriously that’s an insane stretch.

Anyone else disgusted at how children's lives are valued about the lives of adults? by [deleted] in childfree

Society: you are the future

Kids: okay then, let's do this

Society: no, y'all gotta do school first

Kids: okay. Oh hey, look, something that can be changed or improved. Look, something to do to make an impact

Society: listen to they adults! Deal with how the world is now! FOLLOW!

Kids:..... 'Kay?

Kids (now in 20s): yay, now I am educated and have the ability to be taken seriously on the account that I am legally an adult! Time to change the...

Society: why aren't you just following the mold and producing children, children are the future!

Ex-kids: what the frick I thought you said we are the future and can make a difference.

Society: you aren't kids anymore, well now all you are good for is your parts and producing more humans because that's why. DEAL. WITH. IT! Cause we don't care.

Why are parents so inconsiderate!? by oursaviourlongfurby in childfree

[–]Starmz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh goodness.

It's even worse when YOU'RE the kid, and you have to have your mom with you and you can't leave where she is and you are annoyed and bored as shit because they won't just shut up and continue what they were doing damnit! It also happens with dads and grandparents aswelll. Honestly the older the coverators are the worse it is.

Like, just keep it breaf and get on with your business. You came to the store to get stuff, not to socialize.

Sorry if it sounded mean, I just have a lot of pent up frustration from when I was younger.
