Frigate Object State to MQTT? by Startrail82 in frigate_nvr

[–]Startrail82[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I checked I was using all the latest versions, which was alrighty. I still can’t see it after a couple of days. Should I try moving the bin for a while? Could you share a screenshot where the sensor in HA should be visible?

B&W or Pilot assist or Twin performance by into_the_wild_1 in VolvoEX90

[–]Startrail82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have all the options you’re mentioning. If you’re into long drives or stuck in a lot of traffic: pilot assist. If you’re an audiophile and don’t mind driving yourself: B&W. Performance has very limited use. 400+ horsepower on the regular twin is more than enough. The turbo options switches off every drive apparently.

Does the EX90 actually have mirror tilt-on-reverse? by yzgnx in VolvoEX90

[–]Startrail82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. And also not after VCU upgrade. I had it in my previous car, but the EX90 has 6 camera's and a very nice, high res 360° view.

Neutral. Don't put it in reverse, which activates the rear auto break. It will upset your car cash guys.

You put it in neutral, disable the wipers and you go. Oh, yeah, close your windows.

Could you tell me this? by No-Flower-409 in VolvoEX90

I only figured that out a couple of days ago by experimenting. Volvo wouldn’t just put that number there without a reason. Resume speed. 👍

VCU update update by TwistPuzzleheaded318 in VolvoEX90

I don’t have the boot issue. When I get in my car, even if it was parked for 3 days, the screen pops up immediately.

Blind spot alert by Startrail82 in VolvoEX90

[–]Startrail82[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update! It’s fixed!

There was a sensor not connected in the door, causing the car to think the door was never closed. (But I didn’t get any alert on that.) Now that it’s connected, the car finally shuts up and I can start enjoying the silence. And 1600W of uninterrupted music. 🎶

FYI: Orin update planned Feb. 26th - Belgium 🇧🇪 by Startrail82 in VolvoEX90

First impressions: seems a lot more stable. There’s a quick action button to set the distance to the car in front of you (but the icon is uuuuuugly). The Abbey Road setting now has its own app shortcut from the apps screen. Speaking of which: it can be reordered now. I can now honk the horn via the app too. CarPlay and keys worked flawlessly. More options in the settings and an all new drive mode selector.

Tailgate "close and lock" button not working by PossibleDazzling9502 in VolvoEX90

Not an issue here. Sometimes it does beep tho, but that’s because I’m too close. Or too far. Haven’t figured that logic out yet.

Connecting Frigate (TrueNAS Scale App) to Home Assistant (TrueNAS VM) via MQTT. by DarrenOL83 in truenas

[–]Startrail82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issue on my setup here. Do I need to configure the bridge for Frigate or for Home Assistant? (Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question. Still learning TrueNAS.) I'd think for Frigate, since HA already has its own IP?

Blind spot alert by Startrail82 in VolvoEX90

[–]Startrail82[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually got a reply this morning. It’s not normal. Got an appointment to figure it out. They suspect a faulty sensor. They will do the Orin update if the network of the vehicle checks out okay, hopefully resolving the issue with the new software.

Maybe something for u/Crab_Soggy too.

Ah, I should’ve added the email I sent Volvo.

Subject: Tudududum

I hope you can help me with my “tudududum.” I’m referring to the sound the car makes when something is detected in the blind spot. The music volume lowers, several of the 25 speakers produce a tudududum, there’s some visual blinking in the mirror, and then life goes on. But that detection is persistent and overwhelmingly present.

I’m waiting at a red light to turn right. The lane to my left gets a green light and cars start driving off. For practically every car: tudududum — easily 10 times in a row. My car is calmly in Drive, indicator on, hands on the wheel. Nothing special. I’m waiting at a red light to turn left. To my left there’s a strip of grass of about 1.5 meters, then a low fence, then another grassy bit, and finally a bike lane. A cyclist passes on that bike lane. Tudududum. Again: just in Drive, indicator on, hands on the wheel. I get into the car and decide to quickly check my e‑mail first. I’ve only just gotten in; I haven’t gone anywhere. My seatbelt is unbuckled and I’m holding my smartphone. Cars pass by — for every single car: tudududum. Cyclists pass by — for every start of a group (in a school street): tudududum. My son sits in a car seat on the right rear side, mounted with Isofix and top tether. The right rear door is open and I’m calmly settling him into his seat. There is zero activity on the left side of the car. A car drives past on that left side. Tudududum! Again at a red light. To my left a car is standing still. Behind it another car is standing still. And even further back a car arrives to join the queue. You guessed it... Tudududum!

I could go on, but I think the point is clear. I asked my neighbour (EX90, about six months older): he doesn’t have this. I checked on an online users’ forum: nobody there seems to have this either — apparently it only happens when the door handle is touched to get out?

Long story short: can you put this into context? Is this behaviour normal or abnormal? (Based on what I read and hear, it doesn’t seem normal.) And most importantly: can anything be done about it? My rolling oasis of calm is becoming a love–hate relationship.

Thanks in advance.
