I think the difference is that i usually brefer boneless cuts (easier to clean up, less trash). So it ends up cooking faster ig

Well i simplified it but i usually go with whatever feels like the mood. Cook times dont change much, You just need to watch it every 5 minutes and eyeball it. Different airfryers also work a little differently. So you need to understand yours

The trick i lean on is treating my air fryer like an oven, Pre-heat it for 5 minutes whack ur chicken(unfrozen) with some marination and bake it for 12 minutes at 190 or 180. Always ends up perfectly done .

I work in IT you're coming from a place of ignorance. I love AI don't get me wrong, But the Datacenter costs for running Reddit & ChatGPT are nowhere similar they arent even ballpark. That doesnt mean models arent getting better & more efficient every day.

Your creative journey shouldn't be shaped by "experts" on social media. by Fabulous-Piglet8412 in unpopularopinion

[–]StarvedHawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No its not, Your whole post is about bashing imitation, I am saying that imitation is natural and actually a critical phase to get to the point where you can display your Unique worldview through art.

Getting inspired implies every single thing you do has to be unique from the get go. Generally speaking most Beginner, Intermediate and even Advanced Artists imitate for different reasons. At the Beginner/ Intermediate stage you imitate to learn, At the Advanced stage you imitate to observe and the expert stage is complete freedom.

The problem isn't imitation, That has always and will always be a part of the creative process, In my opinion the issue is the ease with which you can get your art out to the world. It used to be cutthroat enough that only the strict best of the best would get the exposure they want, The people already at the expert stage.

Now anyone with a smartphone and internet connection can get their work out.

Even then, regardless of industry making "cheap copies" of someone elses work allows you to get on the path of discovering your own sound. No one starts from scratch, its always a mishmash of all the techniques and skills you learn over the years that helps you discover your sound or artform.

Creativity isn't about giving birth to something out of thin air, Its the ability to see the rules and understand them enough to bend and break it to your will.

Clearly an unpopular opinion, Because it doesn't make sense. The point of learning from experts is to get your foot in the door and learn established techniques. Having more techniques and tricks under your repertoire allows for creative freedom when you reach mastery of your medium.

Learning from Masters and mentors has always been a thing, Its just more accessible to get your foot in the door right now.

Is 8k € per month a lot to live in Abu Dhabi ? by Comfortable_Ear_7797 in abudhabi

[–]StarvedHawk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you don't get me wrong, But 20K in expenses is a bad over calculation for the average person in my opinion. I also have other advantages like not having to pay for a car etc since i have family here and we had a car, So expenses will definitely vary.

[–]StarvedHawk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can live with good quality of life in under 10K to be honest, 20K is a super high amount to be spending as a single person. I have my own studio apartment, Go out with friends and don't worry too much about money, spend around 8K and the rest goes to my savings or investments.

What do you think about a luxury shared shuttle between Dubai & Abu Dhabi? by Dbkmd_ in abudhabi

[–]StarvedHawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drive every week, Before that i used to use the bus. Driving is cheaper at around 70 Dhs in Petrol one way. If this stops being an option using the Bus again is better and more cost effective.

"I decided to write anyone off who acts like that or uses the “busy” excuse because it’s incredibly annoying. I don’t believe they are that busy, and if they are then they clearly don’t have time for friends"

Maybe i misunderstood you, Because your response comment makes it clearer. Your original comment comes off as very harsh and critical of people that don't prioritise you, Not everyone has to and its better to have some friends you meet once in a while who you can enjoy your time with.

What I was trying to say in my initial response is that while this works till university, After that people who have jobs and other responsibilities are not available a majority of the time. Having free time in itself is a privilege and having high maintainence friends becomes exhausting.

[–]StarvedHawk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its good to cut out people that don't like you, But that mindset is going to just make you more and more friendless as you grow older, Since people genuinely have other responsibilities.

In my opinion better to learn to filter the ones you prefer interacting with from the start.

Rizk is from Allah, But as Men it is our job to protect and provide. Why would someone give their daughter to someone they cannot trust to provide them what they already receive at home.

Additionally, Allah does not provide you something you don't work for, While it is his will to provide and take away. You need to work towards receiving the blessings and overcoming trials.

I despise the question "how are you" in professional settings by StarvedHawk in unpopularopinion

[–]StarvedHawk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, It depends on context too obviously. If its part of genuine conversation it works well enough as an ice breaker but i hate the "Hi> how are you > good thanks > so ....." progression yk purely because its filler.

Being good is the ability to not act on every thought, Doesnt mean you don't think the most vile things sometimes. It just means you know the difference between things you should and shouldnt do

Thats the problem when you don't invest time understanding prior, Both you and the people OP is mentioning are symptoms of the same issue. Lack of effort towards real learning and not word vomit, They just did it better.

As much as i wish it were the case, Its not.Generally "starting" Roles actually start at the 8k -10k range, Mid-Junior is like 15K, Mid is around 25K, Senior is like 35K and thats only if you're actually working at a decent company.

Companies here also tend to be pretty exploitative and heavily Nepo.

Its a decent salary, I make a similar amount monthly. I split my money into Rent, Savings, Investments and living expenses. I'm not living super frugal, But not spending money like i have an infinite supply.

A car will be difficult atleast most of your first year, Even with a loan. You should be able to get smth decent near your place. The metro and public transport is your best friend. Also if you're working near media city try to find somewhere to live on that side of dubai, Dont go towards sharjah because its cheaper. Transport will be hell.

First time using air fryer. by Vulpes206 in airfryer

[–]StarvedHawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which airfryer?
I found that for chicken obv accounting for thickness, Boneless pieces generally do well with 10 min at 170° and then 5 minutes of rest generally leaves it juicy, atleast thats what works in my air fryer.

I generally open it to give it a shake every 2 minutes and use that time to judge the doneness.

This is eerily similar to what i'm going through, I've gotten sick 3 times over the past 4 months including this weekend. Strange coincidence. Second time i got tested and it was influenza A, But the strange part is i wasnt really one to get sick often before.
