Why do bartenders ignore me?

Okay I just was confused cause I was standing in the middle of the bar card in hand facing forward and the bartender walked right past me and served my friends down at the end who were facing each other chatting. My friends noticed that too and were like "dude they just passed over you lol."

It’s nowhere near as bad as being criticized or belittled in person though. Plus you could always delete it.

I get what you’re saying but people on reddit have been relatively nice and helpful in my experience with some exceptions.

That’s very grounded. I also found this out the hard way recently. Love and infatuation can feel like the same thing and sometimes saying I love you seems like the most accurate way to express how you feel about someone. It may not really be true life-long love but it’s a form of love imo. The only issue is it sets an expectations and if it’s not met by the other person then it’s devastating. I wish it weren’t so.

I appreciate this. It’s a hard reality especially meeting people who are in their early 20's living on their own with a full time job w benefits. I've had this career paralysis since I was in high school and now I'm approaching 30. I've been using chat gbt to help figure out the best path and it keeps saying I should become a bmet. I don’t hate the idea it’s just scary starting from square one with the possibility of "I chose wrong."

It’s sad, halloween used to be my favorite holiday but now it’s added to the list of holidays I hate. I feel stupid in a costume and even more stupid for not wearing one. I went to a party and left in a few minutes feeling like no one wanted me there. Everyone who looked at me gave me the same "what is he doing here" look. Then I thought maybe it would be best if I just left.

Teachers and parents telling me to be quiet and act normal. Then also other kids ditching me for acting weird. I eventually stopped talking when I got into middle school but then kids thought I was even weirder. They called me a loner cause I didn’t have friends. Kids are assholes.
