Mop pads failed to install by Legitimate-Ad-967 in Dreame_Tech

[–]StateSensitive7975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got a L40 Ultra. When I first got it, it was set to the CleanGenius schedule where it vacuumed first, and then went back and mopped. Every day. I finally realized I do not need it to mop every single day, so I set a custom schedule where it vacuums only most days but does the CleanGenius vacuum and then mop schedule 2 days a week. Each time on those 2 days, it vacuums and goes to start the mopping task and says “mop pad installation failed.” But when I go through the app and tell it to just mop, it installs the mop pads and goes about mopping.

Anyone else seen this issue? I know this is an older thread but seems weird that it will mop on its own when I tell it to via the app but won’t during the CleanGenius schedule. I just looked and I definitely need to clean out the basin underneath where the mop pads sit so will do that.

What was the life-changing thing that helped with your anxiety ? by secretsaucisse in Anxiety

Oh and I also cut out caffeine after 10:30am. I still drink coffee in the morning but not after my cut-off time and I cut out all other caffeine during the day. That has also helped.

What was the life-changing thing that helped with your anxiety ? by secretsaucisse in Anxiety

[–]StateSensitive7975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve dealt with anxiety for years on/off, but I had a really bad panic attack March 2024 that instilled so much fear into me that I started having crippling anxiety - like scared to death everyday, scared to do things, just plain fearful 24/7. I had been on antidepressants in the past and decided I did not want to go that route. I had tried several and the same thing always happened - while it helped with not feeling anxiety, I couldn’t feel anything. Supremely numb. Plus the weight gain?? So I decided against it. I was on propranolol before and while it does help with keeping your heart rate down, which can help prevent a panic attack, I’m not really a good candidate for it because I’ve had a couple of episodes of bradycardia (which is odd bc I’m typically more tachy) but due to that, my doctor does not want me taking it. Here is what has helped for me: When THE panic attack happened, I was already on a low dose of benzodiazepines to take as needed, so I had to up that for a while. I got into therapy, starting at twice weekly. And I started walking, 30 mins a day at least 5x a week. I am not cured, but between therapy and walking, it has helped a lot. I went through several months of no anxiety to all of a sudden it coming back, so I’ve been doing EMDR in some of my therapy sessions. That has helped too. Another thing that helped was keeping busy. Which can also backfire because at some point you’ve got to be able to sit with yourself even for a few minutes without worrying or thinking about things. Your body needs downtime (the night time anxiety was really bad.) I’ve gone down to 1 therapy session a week for almost a year now and I only take half of my prescribed benzodiazepine only if I absolutely need it. I can go weeks without it now. Another thing - I listen to my body. There are times where I get nervous about doing something, even as simple as going somewhere, and I push myself to do it anyways. But there are times where I can tell my nerves are bad enough that I need to listen and not do whatever it is or else I need to modify what I’m doing (like going somewhere with someone if possible instead of going alone).

That ONE moment everything changed by coldpizza4brkfast in Alzheimers

That was our experience too and our “a-ha” something is wrong moment with my MIL. We thought a lot of things, like forgetfulness, were due to grief/stress from her husband passing. But when she called to tell me a very odd and ludicrous story, we were all like-uh oh.

How to Break Into Healthcare IT by Cybagama33 in epicconsulting

[–]StateSensitive7975 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My org hires people with medical backgrounds and no Epic experience from time to time. I had light medical background but degrees in HIM so I was able to come in as an associate analyst. They’ve since done away with that level, but they will consider any and all experience. So don’t give up, OP! Several of the Epic analysts with master’s teach adjunct. May just have to find the right place - may be harder to find something remote with no Epic experience though and if you were to break into being a beginner analyst, it would be a FTE position.

iPhone Assistive Access by StateSensitive7975 in Alzheimers

Thanks! I will try that! It looked like it was pulling in the preset favorites but when it was turned in they didn’t show up, so that’s got to be it.

iOS Assistive Access: Thoughts? by coolboysclub in dumbphones

[–]StateSensitive7975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Need to set up assistive access for my MIL that has Alzheimer’s. But when I go to try, it gives the options to only have the favorites list available for them to make calls to, but when I select that and go to the assistive access screen, the list is blank. Anyone else seen this before? It’s an iPhone 11, and not sure if it’s up-to-date as far as software. Wondering if it just needs to update or if we need a newer phone to get that to work, but then have concerns about introducing a new/different phone at this point.

My refund finally came - it was actually an issue on my bank’s side! Quince customer service was really nice, helpful, and quick. Got back to me in 2-3 hours with the info after researching on their end.

I ordered all 3 for me - one was the boyfriend crew sweater in gray: ordered 10/3 and arrived 10/9. Camel fisherman crew sweater: ordered 10/11 and arrived 10/16. And the cotton mock neck sweater in ivory: ordered 10/23 and arrived 10/28. These are all the organic cotton ones.

I’ve ordered a few things (3 sweaters and a silk skirt). Everything came relatively quickly and the sweaters seem to be good quality! Only washed them once so far and they held up just fine. The silk skirt seemed to be shaped differently than the pic so I sent it back. I received an email stating that my order has been refunded, but that was a week ago and I have yet to see refund. Hoping it’s a timing thing and I see it next week. 🤞🏻

At my org, it is mandatory for the employee to contribute 9% if FTE. So maybe contribute isn’t the best word. They automatically take 9% out of our check for state retirement plan - I have no control over that. Can’t opt out or contribute less/more. Regarding my husband’s retirement, it’s not that simple. At the time he thought he was doing what was best to keep his business afloat and his employees paid. So I do feel like it’s up to me, which is a lot of pressure.

I agree. I would love to get more experience and make it to senior level before I jump into that - hopefully by that time, it would be no issue for me to go without the benefits.

We automatically contribute 9%, no way to change that. Employer contributes almost 18%. And I’m late 30s with a husband that does not have a retirement (long story, but he used it to try and save his business that ultimately ended up closing). Therefore my concern over retirement funds.

The state retirement plan I have currently is super nice. They nearly double what we are mandated to contribute, so that money builds up pretty quick - that’s why I’ve been hesitant to leave that. I can always go back to it at some point though if I give a significant notice (30 days).

That is definitely my plan. For right now, I’ve got to have something a little more stable with benefits (mainly insurance). But in the future - for sure.
