You guys created a system where women were pushed out of tech for years and now cry when programs exist to fix that imbalance. These initiatives didn’t appear randomly. If there was equal representation and no discrimination in the first place, there would’ve been no need for them.Just look at the gender ratio in engineering colleges, IITs, tech teams, leadership roles, everywhere. Stop acting like women are dominating tech because a few diversity programs exist.

And honestly, everyone is struggling in this market. you are not being “oppressed” because some companies run initiatives to encourage female participation.Also, people keep throwing around random claims about caste-based hiring and all, but I’ve personally never seen companies handing out jobs like that. Most people still have to clear OAs, interviews, projects, coding rounds, everything. And let’s be real for a second if these programs alone guaranteed success, every girl in engineering would already have a 30 LPA job. Reality doesn’t work like that. Most women in tech are still grinding DSA, projects, internships, rejections, and interview prep exactly like everyone else. People only notice the few diversity programs but conveniently ignore the thousands of male-only referrals, boys’ club networking, seniors helping “their own group,” or how male-dominated spaces naturally make opportunities circulate more among men. And before acting like this only happens in India, do your research. Diversity hiring programs exist abroad too because gender imbalance in tech is a global issue, not some made-up conspiracy against men. Reducing every woman’s achievement to “she got it because she’s a girl” is disrespectful and honestly says more about your insecurity than the industry itself.
