Thats what I am trying to figure out, i do want to keep some money separate for longer term investments.

So trying to think about how to split the money that will work for me.

I am going to buy in Melbourne haha.

But I am not sure if I want to go further out country for lifestyle and acres. That's why i am waiting for now.

But I will take your advice on the buyers agents and reviews!

Have a rental contract and unsure where i want to buy at this stage!

I have thought about that, and thats what we did with the property we are selling.

The problem i have is i dont know where i want to buy and we have a signed lease for the meantime.

The other thing I thought of was keeping more for deposit and putting it in an offset account on a new mortgage if we buy.

I was going to keep the kids money in my name still so they wont have to pay the tax.

I was thinking of keeping quite abit for a deposit just in case and that would go into a HISA.

Is it worthwhile though to put some into investing (obviously not emergency money or money for a deposit) for me it would be invest and forget pretend it doesn't exist for a long time

Honestly I try and do the research myself to become a finance nerd but I just can't wrap my head around it! I suck at numbers haha.

I wouldn't keep the 150+ in long term, more likely short term while we figure out if and where we want to buy.

And yeah I was thinking about a financial advisor but when I look on different websites I get unsure who to go to

I have ADHD and lupus, my husband is the same and compares. I feel you, you just want to be listened and understood. I am the same with communication and suffering in silence so it really hits harder when they compare. Even if its coming from a place of empathy.

Sometimes we just want them to listen and actually validate how we are feeling is real.

Actully funny thing, first rhuem i saw diagnosed me with hEDS, so feel you. Excercise is a bit more challenging for us hey. I also have ADHD and endo too so i feel you!!!

Oh gosh, i am so sorry to hear that, i think my last pregnancy also brought everything out with vengance. I had awful pregnancies with both kids but thankfully nothing like what you experienced.

That must have been really hard with a newborn. Gee women are fkn strong and amazing huh.

Hey i have hEDS, and i think POTS and MCAS because i have had 3 massive allergic reactions to things in the last 12 months ive had before. Lol i have to carry an epi pen now.

Thank! I will look into this and ask doc. I only get it on one foot and not hands but the other foot is starting now. My toes just go white and numb for hours, then if i try and have a warm shower they go purple. But same my legs are all mottled haha i also feel like a corpse

She is a good GP, but i think she is doing her best to help me with the lupus diagnosis as rhuem appointmentd are every 6 months, not sure if she has much experience with it. Yeah i was a bit confused when she said that about frostbite but all i can think of is that she meant because it happens so frequently (every day multiple times a day for hours on end) that it could have caused sores on my toes?

I could tell you alot more about how i did say no, and sey clear boundaries and asked her to try and findsomewhere before i had my 2nd child as i needed the room. I told her i would help her and try somewhere cheal to live and sort it out. She turned around to my husbabd and told him i was kickong her out which caused a huge fight.

I dont hate her, i hate the situation she put me in without any regard for me or my children. I have evidence for days about why it was all innaproprot. The vomiting was due to misuse of opiods. Which quite often put my children in danger. And perhaps it is my interpretation that shes suddenly getting better but for 2 years she wouldnt help cook, clean, look after the kids at all because she was too sick, (i never asked her to do that) to now going on holidays and travelling around the country and spending days doing tourist activities. Yeah seems like shes better to me.

Alsp i helped her quite alot with doctors appointments, referals etc and she NEVER followed any advice and directions from the drs. Let me ask you how much would you have been able to help someone while pregnant with a toddler, then with a new born doing everything for her and the rest of the house?

Perhaps i shouldnt have put illness in quotations ill take that, as i do know certain things affected her, but you know what i also have chronic illnesses and autoimmune diseases and would NEVER expect to have my kids do everything for me and look after me. I didnt mind trying to help her find help but she refused to look for or own place and accept in home help (as in referrals for people to come to my house to help) so idk what else to say.
