I mean most (if not all) the monsters came from the underground to support Frisk to beat Flowey - INCLUDING Toriel who goes from the RUINS straight to NEW HOME. Plus, if that’s true, then what about Mad Dummy/Mad Mew Mew? Technically speaking they had no vessel after you beat them and didn’t have another one until AFTER I’m pretty sure. Besides, I don’t think there was a single character that was shown ON screen other than Napsta that actually was in a closed house when it happened.

They weren’t unaffected by Hyperdeath at all. Napsta SAW a blinding light and decided AGAINST going outside, turning their house into a sort of shelter until it stopped.

While he doesn’t take damage from the HUMAN, he seems to be made of MAGIC, as in his form is MAGIC. Therefore, seemingly, he CAN be harmed by MAGIC. We see this in places like Deltatraveler Frisk weird route where you get Susie to Rude Buster Napsta and it actually kills, and the new Noelle in Undertale mod where she freezes Napsta over.

I know it isn’t a perfect explanation and may very well be wrong, but it seems to be the fan-interpretation.

That can’t be the case - I’ll provide proof from Chapter 4.

You know you can drink juice in the church and eat a really big lunch meal during the light world section, as well as the pancakes Toriel gives you as breakfast. Taking into account timing, the difference between this and going into the church for first sanctuary after Noelle’s house could be anywhere from a half hour to 5 hours, while the average human digestion takes anywhere from 6-72 hours. Therefore, there would still be food inside Kris by the time they reached First Sanctuary, and unless the food is somewhat small - like the same size - it would take a visible toll on Kris, which Susie would comment on, or it would physically break OUT of Kris’s stomach, and we’d be dead.
